Stay away from the pull ups (aka glorified diapers) they only prolong the process. If you can, stay home with him for a few days and let him run around in the nude. This gets him in touch with his bodily functions, and he realizes that he doesn't have a diaper (or pull up) to go in, and his only option will be to mess himself (which he will learn quickly feels icky) or go on the potty. Lastly, praise progress and don't make him feel bad if he has an accident. There is a reason he doesn't want to be potty trained yet, and I have a feeling it may have something to do with how much you want (and maybe push) it.

I have two sons and was told by their pediatrician and preschool teacher that potty training only BEGINS at 3 for boys. Put him in Pull Ups if you haven't already and give praise to any attempt to use the facilities. I would guard against anything negative - believe me, it won't work.
It will just take some time and a lot of patience. Best of luck to you!

I had a friend who's son was the same way. Finally she got some of those things that grow in water and had him pee on those. If he made it grow she gave him a plastic dinosaur (those ones that come in big packages) It worked like a charm for her.
With my kids I paid them a penny for everytime they peed and a nickle every time the pooped. After they got a dollar they got to go to the dollar store and buy something. Both were totally trained by the time they earned their dollar so the reward system was over and done. Worked great for me.
Good luck!

well if it is potty trained this is what we did for my little sister
We were getting ready to go on vaca to disney world and we told her that they only way mickey mouse will meet her is if she is potty trained. And we incouraged her to use the bathroom instead of a diaper. It worked too so basically just tell your child something exciting will come if they use the toilet wiether it is a new toy or meeting a "idol" or whatever.
Good luck

Well its time that Daddy or a male family member showed him how its done..
We used cheerios in the toilet to train our son.. He had a ball shooting the cheerios. Make sure you put him in underwear not pullups during the day only night. You have to bring him every hour even when you or hubby goes.. Daycare helps alot too. Lots of monkey see, monkey do!

Take away the diapers. If he is three then you are goig to have to be firm with him. Let him know he is a big boy now and big boys need to go potty. Put him in training underwear and dont let him on the furniture.

He probably doesn't have any desire to take antibiotics if he gets an ear infection either, but you know he needs to. Potty training is what is best for him, so do it whether he has any desire to do it or not.
