The true question is not whether we like the name, but whether "she" will. Before you give your daughter a name like that (or any other) think about how that name will forever impact that child. I have friends who work in Human Resources and they have told me that they have thrown out, or even, overlooked job applications if they thought the name sounded too Afrocentric. A lot of jobs tell you they are equal opportunity employers to keep from sued, but if you do your research you will discover that is CRAP! Don't give that child a name that will keep them from getting jobs or accepted into good colleges. I'm not saying name her Mary or Elizabeth, but at least name her something not so ethnic sounding. Just a word of advice....

You mean pronounced Tay- Shawna? I don't think it's really cute, but it is a beautiful name. Try to spell it easier though, like Tashawna or Tayshawna.

Cute...but may difficult for a little one to spell. Maybe have it as her legal name, but call her Tashi....or use it as a middle name?
Good luck!
