She just started middle school and is an A/B student in all the honors classes they have. (my point is she is a good, smart kid) She's always been fairly good, to the point of me being appalled when I see kids her age acting immature, because she is very mature. The point is, she recently asked me what kinds of makeup she is allowed to wear. I know she wouldn't cake it on or anything, but I'm scared my daughter will look like a freak. which kinds of makeup?

And she said she didn't want any money or anything if we did it privately just a happy nice family for the baby. So all I would have to do is get a lawyer to sign the rights of the baby over to me when it is born correct??

Ok ladies... We have narrowed the baby names down to two: Giselle/Gizelle,Gizele,Gisele or Yocelyn/Yocelynne. Now the problem is which one to choose?? I was wondering if you ladies could give me your opinions about which name you like and the spelling of it or if you have any more ideas? Never thought picking out names would be so hard!! i know i said what i would do, but that was before it happened. i still thought in the back of my mind that he wouldn't actually abandon his own flesh and blood, but he did. it's been a week since he said he would pick him up, and he's still not here. it's time for me to take action, and i don't know what i should do. i'm stuck. and i'm gonna pray about it and talk it over with my pastor and older brother and kids first, but some outside advice would also be welcome.thanks.

So since she absolutely won't eat the baby rice cereal (I tried giving her some for past 2 weeks already), I made her some pureed carrots (I boiled some organic carrots till tender and then pureed them really well in the blender) and she loved them. Also, hubby and I had some instant mashed potatoes yesterday with our dinner and I gave her a tiny taste and I could tell she really liked them becuz she didn't spit them out like she does with baby rice cereal. Is it ok to give her a little bit of prepared instant mashed potatoes once or twice a week followed by her bottle of formula or is this not a good idea? The potatoes did have a little bit of butter and milk in them but no salt. Also, since she loved the pureed carrots I want to continue giving that to her occasionally, so how much should I be giving her a day / week? I'm pretty sure at least the carrots are ok for her to eat since they are just plain organic pureed cooked carrots and nothing else. Can anyone advise please?

My sister has a 3 year and a 7 month old... Now, I have no children, but I think this is wrong.... She will take and no matter wear we are she will change these kids' diapers everywhere.... She has changed them outside during a parade.... She has changed them at Burger King while other people were around eating.... She has changed them in a shoe store..... Do you think this is wrong?

Also she does not buckle the 3 year old in his car seat, she will just let him sit in there and hse don't think there is nothing wrong with this....

With the 7 month old, that poor child lives in his car seat.... Even has a flat head from it... The kid doesn't even no how to roll over yet, or lift his head.... why doesn't she see that this is all wrong, or is it just me beings I don't understand cause I am not a parent...?

I'm 3 cm and 60% effaced 38 weeks and have a doc appt. today. I just got off the phone with my best friend and she said that they might send me over to the hospital today if I dilated and effaced more. She said that with her daughter, she was 5 cm and 80% effaced with no contractions at 37 weeks and they broke her water that day. My question is is how dilated and effaced can you be before they will induce? Thanks!

My 2 y/o needs to get her 2nd year shots. I'm highly concerned about Autism. My daughter has received every shot that she could get up until age 2, if she hasn't had reactions yet to any shots...is it still possible for her to get her 2nd yr shot and Autism pop up later down the line?

Last week my daughter was moved up to the next daycare class room. Her teacher & most of her friends also moved up (she's 2 yrs old), but her teacher left for vacation that day. The next few days drop-offs were horrific & she literally had to be pried away from me so I could go to work. Today her teacher was back & she's still not wanting to stay. Anyone else go through this or have any ideas for making drop-off easier. She's LOVED going up until now.

So I hear drinking lots of water AND Robitussin helps with cervical mucus. I was also advised to start taking Robitussin 5 days before ovulation. How many times a day should I take it and how many teaspoons? Thanks in advance!
