The combination of Summer and Melissa's answers is perfect. It is for lower income families (therefore it is free). In addition to a regular pre-scool curriculum basic nutrition and health is also taught.

It is very similar to preschool. However the ciriculum is more strict. They serve food that is non-sugar ( some preschools allow jelly and syrup on pancakes) They eat family style which means everone sits around the table, the food is passed person to person, children serve themselves, the teachers sits with them to model, they scrape their own plate and wipe their spot and then sit and wait to be excused. They brush teeth which most preschools do not. They usually provide transportation, many preschools do not. There are many other differences and most have websites if you want more information.

It's free pre-school for low income families. It's similar to pre-school, but I wouldn't say it's as good from what I've seen. I've been in several to follow up with high risk kids.
