Nope--my daughter never dropped. Turned out she was breach and "stuck" in position. I ended up having a c-section, but I went into full natural labor without her ever dropping.
My sister on the other hand had both of her boys naturally and she dropped by 35 weeks. She said she woke up one morning feeling like she was carrying a watermelon between her knees ;)
Good luck to you and your baby!!!

NO. My baby never dropped. I am a petite woman. I am 120 pounds, 5'3", thin frame... pregnant I had a huge belly but small body... NO ROOM for the baby to "drop"... but taller women notice a drop in the later weeks of pregnancy.. 36-40 weeks or so. To see if you are or have dropped, start taking photos of you in your bra and panties in front of a mirror every week. Your belly will get big and high and then suddenly get lower. This is when the baby has descended into the birth canal and readied itself for delivery.
This doesn't happen for everyone, and especially not always for more petite women. However, towards the end I did feel like I was walking with something between my legs (the baby's head) but it doesn't feel like a bowling ball like some describe, maybe more like a small apple or asian pear LOL!

my fisrt dropped at 35-36 weeks, and i delivered at 40 weeks.
I'm 34 weeks with #2, and he's been low all throught the pregnancy, so I don't know if I will ever notice a real "drop".

Not everyone "drops".
Generally this occurs in the last 3 weeks of pregnancy, and some women do not drop at all until they are in active labor.

no not everyones baby drops unfortunately! what this means is that if you drop the baby takes less time to get to the birth canal. if you don't then you have to push the baby down to it then out. thats all!

nope not everyones. my baby didn't drop until i was exactly 40 weeks and an hour away from pushing him out. every pregnancy is different. i'm glad he didn't drop so he wasn't pushing on my bladder so much, only when he'd punch me down there!! but it was hard to breath while laying down, i fixed that by propping myself up with pillows.
