Here's the deal. Two years ago, I had to have an emergency c-section. My son (who had started to crown) had to be delivered via c-section because of a rapidly decreasing heart rate. Since then, I've suffered from abdominal pain. It varies from a constant pain to a stabbing pain. Sometimes the pain has been so bad I've literally fallen to my knees. In addition, sex is becoming more and more painful. I've also noticed a severe decrease in my ability to know when I need to go pee! I understand that a woman's pelvic floor is weakened after having a baby, but my symtoms have gotten progressively worse. So here's my question: what sort of things could have gone wrong during the surgery? I've watched some c-sec videos and I've researced the process as best I can, but I can't shake the feeling that something was done incorrectly either during or after delivery. I've been tested for a bladder infection, cancers, STDs, etc etc. These are not the source of the problem.

My twins are 7 months old, and I know with my 2 year old son, it was so easy to get him to use a sippy cup right off. This isnt the case with my twins, everytime i offer their milk in a sippy cup, they refuse or don't know how to suck from it. How can I teach them to use this? Or, do I just have to wait until they are ready??

(disclaimer: this is me as a child ... I'm basing a character off of myself at that age)

If you had just met this child, what would you think her name was ... or what would you name her?

Thankyou for your input!

Anything!!!! With a 7 year old and a 4 month old, it seems like my days NEVER end. When the kids are asleep, I can usually sneak in a few minutes on the computer or reading (one of my favorite hobbies). Granted, when you have children you KNOW that life will change...however, we all deserve a break!! My question is what are some of your most SWEAR-BY time savers/short cuts in managing your everyday familial resposibilites (laundry, child rearing cooking, etc.) By the way, unhealthy/unsanitary tips are NOT what I'm looking for(i.e., cook all food in the microwave, bath baby once a week, take a shower every other day, etc....yuk!!). Here are a couple of mine (if this cuts off, I will continue it under additional details; be patient).

*I iron a week's worth of school uniforms for my son, as well as my week's wardrobe on Sunday nights. I try to cook two meals at once. I pack bags, lunches, and snacks at night. I do laundry early on Saturday mornings. What are your tips???

while on an outting with her children.I was just curious what other people thought about breastfeeding a child of this age. The mother was at the zoo and was not very discreet in her breastfeeding and she did get some peculiar looks. I have heard of breastfeeding until about age 2. I do not understand why it would be continued until the age of 6.Is there any benefit to the child? Do children find it difficult to be "weaned" after such an age? I am not trying to be ignorant or judgemental I just don't understand the need to nurse that long. All input will be appreciated.

I am 22 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I am only 8 weeks. I got some imformation from my obgyn, about some optional testing. It includes Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) testing, at 16 to 18 weeks. It can check for defects in the spine area for genetic disorders such as down' syndrome. I heard down' syndrome usually only happens in older women and men that try to concieve. Is that true, or am I still at risk and should opt for it? I want to do whatever is right for the baby.

I love classic names- but, I don't want to name my baby girl something common, like Sarah. So, I'd like to know some names that are uncommon, but still classic. My daughter is Elizabeth, so I can't use Elizabeth. Any middle names would be helpful too.

Let me first say that my 6 yr old has a bully for a father, and sees his dad behave inappropriately (flipping people off, physical fights with his girlfriend, lack of respect for authority and police). Of course this rubs off on my son, and my child is bossy, pushes kids, and just doesn't have very good social skills. I have him in therapy, and just won full custody from my ex so his time with dad will be limited, which will help my son.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to help him stop this behavior? I try to set a good example, and have tried everything from praise, to calling him a bully.
