I know a guy with that name & I think Tharen sounds sexy, & it's rare.

***Arcenaux is a French last name. It's not made up. The guy's parents were creative in naming his 1st name.

In my humble opinion (that is, don't let my opinion spoil a name for you), I'm none too fond of it

Tharen sounds like somone with a lisp trying to say Daren, or Sarin (the nerve gase)

Arcenaux is a cajun variant of the french surname Arceneau, which means "gunmaker" or "gun seller". It's a very common surname where I live (Cameron Parish, Louisiana), so I just can't see it as a given name. Especially since it's the surname of a local newswoman who is a bit obnoxious (and not all that attractive ... she was once sent to jail on spousal battary charges)

I like Tharen Arcenaux (first and last), but the middle name is working for me. Two names that end in N are hard to say or something.

How about?
Tharen Matthew
Tharen Kyle
Tharen Jace(almost the same)
Tharen Bryce
Tharen (your last name)
Tharen Spencer

Tharen is a great name. Unusual, but not crazy, and it could work for either a boy or a girl. Arcenaux is fine as a middle name because it sounds beautiful, but since it would be his middle name he wouldn't have to spell it for people every day. I think it's unique and spoken aloud, it sounds wonderful. Congratulations.

This name is nice. I believe it is the name of a Australian Restraunt. And the last name to a star wars character BriaTharen, she was supposingly Han Solo's first love...
So see it is not unfamiliar, different, but a nice different...I say go for it....It is a nice rolling name off the tongue and not to be made fun of...Not like Apple and all those star named children....Seriously, I think this is a Beautiful name..Sounds strong....good luck...

I don't really like it and the first and middle name rhyme. I would prefer it pronounced Thair-in
