I have had the procedure, in my case to remove a fetus that had already died.

I was given a twilight sedative, I was awake but "out of it". I don't know that abortion patients get that.

My vagina was held open with a speculum and the doctor scraped around in there and then vacuumed it out. The procedure took less than 15 minutes. I was crampy after wards but felt fine the next day. The emotional part was much worse than the physical part, and I am sure that is true for abortion patients as well.

It depends on what you mean. I know people who have a had one and been ok emotionally and physically. They just didnt want to have a baby and they are happy with their choice. I also know a girl who had an abortion and kept bleeding and had to go to tell her partent and go to the hospital to stop bleeding. I also dont think she's been able to emotionally heal from loosing that baby.

Call an abortion clinic and have them explain the differences between surgery, chemical, and pill. They can answer all your questions.

Depends on the method/how far along you are. Medication abortions are just like having a really heavy period (same as a miscarriage), D&C's are more invasive, you have a small vacume suctioning out the fetus. Its uncomfortable, and you are sore for a few days.

That's physical, Mentally? Depends on who you are. Its different for everyone.

I haven't had one, just had a few miscarriages, but, I have known, and support others to make their own choices.
The choice is yours.

I cant picture it being very comfortable. Since they basically go into you and have to scrape out the child thats in there! Yeah well sounds painful to me!

It's a not nice experience but understandable and your right if you're not ready to become a parent. F*** those folks trying to make you feel guilty by calling it murder. I recommend having one as soon as possible, before those cells form a fetus. Also, nowadays, there's RU-486 which is non-invasive (but still not easy).
