As far as I know, it's still 1 hour. I think that it has something to do with the fact that one of the main ingredients is a protein concentrate made from cow's milk. It has the potential of spoiling.

If you'd like to mix it before, it can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.

When I had my son I was throwing out formula after 2 hours like it said. I make his bottle and use it up till it's gone now. I started to do that and it's never affected him. I'll keep it in the living room with us for when he's thirsty. If there's milk leftover from his last bottle, I'll put it in the fridge to use for tomorrow. His formula has been out for hours at a time and it's fine.

I've been told that it is for 2 hours at room temperature or 1 day in the fridge. If the baby has started drinking the formula then it is supposed to be finished within 1 hour. Bacteria from the babies back-wash gets in the bottle.

One hour max. Though, if after 30 minutes my DD hasn't drank it all, I pour it out. You can defiantly tell if it has gone sour by the smell. Giving baby milk that's left out for extended periods can cause "infant thrush" which is like a bacterial infection in the baby's mouth and throat. It can cause other problems if not treated promptly. I haven't had much success storing mixed formula in the fridge, as, with Enfamil anyway, seems to go sour in about an hour or so.

If you look on the side of your formula it will tell you for sure, but I'm pretty sure you can leave it at room temp for 2 hours after its been heated. If you make it then put it in the fridge, they are good for 24 hours.

i'm pretty sure you shouldn't leave it longer than an hour or two. would you drink milk that you had left sitting out for two+ hours?

my cousin just had a baby in april and she leaves several bottles in her hot room all day long that she will take to feed her baby... he was premature, as well...

i really do not see how he is still alive, as sad as that sounds, but she refuses to listen to the advice of the responsible adults around her. (her mother is incompetent and she doesn't listen to any of her aunts/grandparents).

Out for 1 hour, in the fridge up to four hours if baby has drank from it, and 24 if he hasn't drank from it.

No longer than 2 hrs. If it has saliva in it...don't offer it again. Would YOU drink that?
