Has anyone had experiences (good/bad) with taking their infant on a beach vacation? My husband and I are thinking about taking our baby (he will be 5-months by then) to Mexico for a week. We will stay at an all-inclusive resort. Thoughts, anyone?

Suppose you are a parent of two preschool children and you are in your early thirtees, just establishing your career. Would you give up your career and take care of children? or would you opt for day care and continue to work? For either choice, please state your reasons.

After a long process I have finally been prescribed clomid which I start taking next week. I was reading about the side effects and wondered if anyone had a real bad reaction to htem? I am also having an IUI within the next two weeks and wondered if anyone succeeded on their first try with an IUI and clomid and metformin?

We are having triplets and were all set to name them Bennette Marie, Brent Oren, and Bowen Shaw. My husband even went as far as to say that he loved those names. Suddenly he approached me with three new names, that I also like, and now I don't know which set of names is better

Bennette Marie, Brent Oren, and Bowen Shaw
--or--
Dallyn Aubrette, Dagan (Day-gin) Cael, and Delling Jude

I'm not sure if the D names are a bit too matchy. I know the B names obviously are a little matchy since they all begin with B, but it seems to me that Dallyn, Dagan, and Delling sound awfully similar.

Thanks in advance =]

My Husband and I have been trying to have a baby for a year now. I recentally went on Clomid and I am on my second month at 50mg's. I had my progesterone levels tested on the 7th day after a positive ovulation test. Anyhow my test came back 52.2. I have read that that is REALLY good and that I am either pregnant or carrying twins. Anyone have thoughts??

My twin boys will be 7 in Oct and just finished K. One of them, Austin, is extremely mature for his age and above average when it comes to social and intellectual skills. My other son, Logan, is exactly the opposite. The cut off for school in our town is Dec 31, so the boys could have gone to 1st grade last year, but I didn't send them because Logan was no where near ready. But repeating K didn't help matters: Austin is more than ready for 1st grade again in Sept and Logan is not by any means. I've had him tested for numerous disabilities and issues, worked with him, hired a tutor, sent him to summer programs, but nothing has come up/ is getting him ready. They have a seperate class called "readyness" that I can put Logan in for the school yr that will help him in the skills/maturity department, but then the following yr he'll then go to 1st grade & Austin will go into 2nd. I can't keep holding Austin back if he's ready & I don't know what to do. Seperate them? Send Logan anyway?

Out of all the women who are or did nurse and drink alcohol, how much did you drink? a few drinks once a month? A drink here and there every week? A drink a day?

Also, were there any noticable side effects? Did you talk to your Dr about it?

My 7 year old niece has been having a lot of behavior trouble lately. She is the middle child. Her older brother is almost 10, and her younger sister is 3.
*She lies a lot. Sometimes the lies are about trivial things and sometimes they are to stay out of trouble.
*She taunts her little sister. Many times she talks her out of her toys so that she can play with them. Or she'll throw them, etc.
*She is very boy crazy, but she likes to dress so that she looks like a boy, and beams when people tell her that she looks like one.
*She always tries to tag along with my nephew & his friends.
*She is mean and bossy to the kids she plays with, and initiates physical fights sometimes.
*She throws fits when she doesn't get her way.
*Last night, my nephew and his friend were playing video games. She walked in front of them, and pulled her pants down in their faces. She told her parents that my nephew's friend told her to do it. Then, she noticed that she would get in trouble for lying.

I am not having an abortion. But I am not Anti-Abortion either. Nor do I plan on having one if I were to get pregnant. I am at a point in my life where I am getting married in 2 months and old enough and in a good enough job where I feel I could raise a baby. However when I was in college or even in my senior year of High School I had thought that if I got pregnant I would consider it.
So what I am asking if purely for education sake and maybe you can educate a few others who might have the same questions.
What does having an abortion feel like?
How did you feel afterwards?
Do you regret having one?
Any other information would be great too.

Please only people who ACTUALLY HAVE HAD ONE or KNOW the correct answers because a friend went through it. I dont want any pro-life people throwing in their comments about how horrible it is and what not. You haven't been there so please leave your comments to yourself. This question isn't being asked to get opinions but to be educated.

I watched my brother in-law treat his child. He is only eight months old. He yells at him and scolds him. He said, he is teaching him not to be spoiled like other kids. He doesn't let anyone carry him and if they do, they can only carry him no more than ten minutes. Sometimes it's not even that, he grabs him right away and put him on his crib or let him sit on his own. When he cries, he lets him cry... because he said if we carry him, he will be using that way. Experience mom? Answer please. I'm about to have my daughter in four weeks and I think I would love to hold her all the time. Is his method of parenting good?

I was just wondering what other people's opinions are about this. I have an almost 16 month old daughter. I know that watching TV at this age isn't recommended, and she really doesn't watch TV. However, she has been showing interest in Sesame Street. Do you think it's alright for her to watch some Sesame Street in the morning for a little while and maybe on some other occassions?
