Sierra...People thanks for all the responsible answers, I am this child parent and I am very embarassed....She is not pregnant....(She better not be).....and me her and her mom had this talk, and we are about to have this talk again.

No offense, as you sound rather young and possibly pregnant, but ANYone having a child in their teens is foolish, and if they find themselves pregnant at that age, should consider their options. All these little girls who can barely drive, not even vote, and can't legally sign their names to a contract seem to think that they have enough brains and experience to handle the responsibility of raising a child. They can't. and because they were so young in having children, they will not finish an education, and will thereby cheat themselves and their child out of a decent future. Nevermind the fact that at that age, a girl's body may be capable of getting pregnant, but it is not ready to deal with the repurcussions of carrying and giving birth to a child.
Those are only a few reasons why parents "trip off of pregnant teens"

Parents trip off pregnant teens because they think that it won't happen in their family. Just like if an older brother is molesting a younger sister they won't believe that either. Been there done that.

Parents get mad when the find out that teens are pregnant because it is dangerous and it means that you could also have a STD. Parents have the right to worry even though i don't like the fact that my mom is always in my business it mean that they care.

It's because teen are not ready for real life. It's because parents are the ones who are going to have to spend the money to support their grandchildren. Teenagers don't have good paying jobs, their own home or car, and can't take care of a family.
Teenagers getting pregnant is an extra family burden of money they are not ready for and shouldn't have to take care of.

oh my gosh! you seriously don't know why?! well for starters teenagers aren't even adults yet! they only have 16 - 17 years of life and don't know much about it because they have never been in the real world! you have plenty of time to have sex after you go to college or get a serious job. at this age teenagers only know protection from their parents and don't know quite yet how to protect another....... there is a BIG difference when you see someone who is 25 and walks down the street pregnant and a 16 year old!
possibly because they don't even know proper grammar also!

Because they care enough for you that they only want the best for you in life. They want you to succeed and grow up and mature before you decide to bring another person into this world. Life as a teenager is hard enough without having to raise a baby. Leave that to the adults

Because there pregnant and have no clue how to take care of a baby and be responsible..
Leave babies to grown responsible people, unless you wanna spend the rest of your teen years taking care of a baby when you should be enjoying life

b/c. your a teenager. 1. there are only 2 years in your teen years that you should have sex. and since you having unprotected sex, they can't trust you anymore. i don't blame them. if i found out that my kid was having a baby when she was under 17, i wouldn't hesitate to find out who did it, and make sure it doesn't happen ever again.
