I would try babysitting, or volunteering at the Hospital, in the nursery. Sometimes Hospitals need people to work with the little ones in the NICU...
I hope this helps.

I am a nanny and married for 7 months. I really really want a baby. Working with other people's babies does not cure me from it. The reason why we're not having a baby anytime soon is all because of financial reasons. Try taking a look at financing a baby. If like us, you are struggling a little, finances could turn you off when you think of how little you can provide for the baby. BUT IT SUCKS SO BAD WANTING ONE!!!!

Get something to keep you busy such as a pet or something that you have to pay constant attention to. It will not make the feelings stop, but it will help keep your mind on other things and not only having a baby. You are doing the right thing, and I am so glad to see this on here. Most want to push them into it, and that hurts their relationship. It will be well worth the wait! Way to go!!!!

HAH! babysit for a newborn, then a toddler for about a week each. You won't have that baby hunger after those sleepless nights, crying for who knows what reason ( both you and the baby) LOL
I've raised 3 and I working on my grand kids now. I love em, but oh my god is it a lot of work!!!

Even if you have your own kids, once they get older you get it again and for me just holding someone elses baby or offer to babysit for someone, it does help. You could ask him how much longer you have to wait, may be having a date set like a year or whatever will help you feel better. I do understand though!
