I know all about celiac disease, I have it. :(.... It SUCKS!....lol
I started feeding my baby solids and my doctor gave me the go ahead to include gluten.
We are introducing the foods one at a time for 4 days.
A couple days into the oatmeal she did develop what looks like a rash around her mouth (moustache rash) also looks like chapped lips..
There are no other signs (diahorrea, diaper rash, gas)....

How did you discover your childs celiac disease?
(in my day they didnt really know what it was and i was very malnourished by the time they found out,.. they had to go into my intestine with a camera.)

What happens when your child as an allergy?

I will ask my doctor but it is saturday so im asking on here first. :)

My mum went for pregnancy scan and was told that she was pregnant. She was also told the baby was dead! At nine weeks old but my mum had no signs of a miscarrage and was taken in Darrent Vally Hospital to have the baby removed. The doctor said that it was not a miscarrage or an orbortion and the babies heart stopped at nine weeks. Does anyone know what happened and what it was caused by.

I answered a question recently asking about being a working mother. I have nothing against working mothers and I know that they are probably trying their best to manage everything. I respect every mother as long as the choices they make are for what they feel is best or needed.

I feel that the ideal situation for a family is to have a mother OR father to stay at home. This may just be my version of an ideal family. Of course the person who is staying at home would have to stay sane and be a good role model but it got me thinking [after I got many thumbs down] that perhaps this isn't what everyone else feels is ideal for a family--not just their own but families in general.

So, I’m asking you [irregardless of your current situation of SAHM or working mother] what do YOU feel is the ideal family lifestyle in general? Thank you for your answer.

Is this to much for a seven year old to do?
i am pregnant now. My duaghter is 7. I am thinking of offerering her $3 to babysit while I swim laps for 45 min to an hour. The pool is one of those ones that are right on the swimming deck with a glass divider about 3 1/2 feet tall. I feel it is safe as I am right there.. but is that too much to ask my daughter to do. She wants to be babysitter when she grows up and loves to earn money. I know she would totally go for it... The viewing area is so close, it is like her watching the baby while I'm making supper in the next room or taking a shower a couple rooms away.. only at the pool, I can see them at all times and hear them. This of course is only once I trust that my daughter has the hang of handling him... but most likely the baby will sleep. I really want to exercise and their dad left.. I have no family in town.

He is absolutely terrified of the neighbor up the street, and he started hiding in the closet while crying. He also wets his bed even more than he used to and has night terrors.

We had unprotected sex back on Dec 16th. I used the pull and pray method. It was her first time.

Forward to today's date....

Past couple of weeks she has been complaining about always being tired. And being hungry/eating more that usual and wanting all sorts of food. She mentioned she had tender breasts before but I thought that might be to her first time having sex, this was also around first week of Jan. Yesterday she said she was having a hard time putting her jeans on and that her tummy was sticking out. She also complains about being dizzy and nauseaus and yesterday while being in a mall, she said she was felt like vomiting. She said she had her period in Jan (albeit 5 days late) but I am wondering if that was implantation bleeding.

any thoughts? She refuses to get the HPT done because she doesn't think she is pregnant.

On my last OB appointment she found me 1cm dilated. She decided to send me to hospital tomorrow I'm so excited! They're gonna start my labour with some kind of gel.. and if nothing happens till the next morning they'll break my water. Is there any chance that with just the gel I'll go into labour? (I was 1cm dilated like 6 days ago.. could I be more now?)

My son is almost 6 weeks and I have to go back to work in a month. I work nights, and I have gotten into the bad habit of occasionally letting him sleep in my bed. He sleeps well in his crib, but I have to let him fall asleep in my arms first, and then when I put him down, most of the time he wakes up. He does not cry, he just lays then and makes noises and babbles. Is it ok to leave him and let him go to sleep since he is not crying? Or is he too young to put himself to sleep? I always pick him up if he cries and I rock him, but I don't want him to become reliant on me to go to sleep.

I am trying to break my 2 and a half daughter of her thumb sucking, she does it when shes tired. Currently there have been a lot of changes in her life I just went back to work, she goes to the babysitters over night etc.. I dont want to use nasty hot sauce or things like that to break her of it but it needs to stop, im sure it is a way to deal with the changes in her life but it really needs to stop. I have thought about trying to replace her thumb with a binki and then eventually in a few months taking that away but idk....

i would like some ideas on how to do this... im not asking for people to tell me to leave it alone cause i really dont want to hear it so if thats your opinion please dont even bother answering this.
just some simple sugestions would be sooo much aprecieated. her speach is perfect for her age but her teeth are crooked. regaurdless this needs to stop and I need some opinions.... Thanks to everyone in advance

I know a 1st birthday is really for adults more than the child as they really dont know what is going on, but i would love some ideas anyway. I am not interested in playing games and we are having a BBQ for lunch so it is really just a social gathering to celebrate it. Any ideas for a cake or few other things that my non creative mind has not thought of?

Thank you in Advance

I have four children. They are four, six, seven, and fifteen. I have no clue what to do anymore. I have a job making fourteen dollars an hour and work a lot of over time. Since I got my raise I no longer qualify for Medicad or food stamps. My kids NEED insurance. I don’t know what to do anymore. Before I was able to get help but now it seems the more money I make the harder it gets. I need help getting on my feet but it seems like there is no help out there. Anyone with advice of where to go for help or with experience please answer. Thank You!
