My little boy (3) has been in a toddler bed for about a year now. All of the sudden for the past three weeks he has been getting out of bed every hour on the hour coming to my bed wanting to sleep with me or...thirsty, wet, hot, cant fix his blankets, can't find baby bear ect. ect.
I haven't slept it seems in about a month. I attempt to hear him out and I do explain that it is bed time and the whole bit. I am tired and I know he is too, not sleeping all night. According to Grandmom (keeps him while I'm at work) she says he doesn't really nap during the day. I have noticed increase in his crying spells and tantrums. Any advise would be great. I also have a 1year old daughter, i am scared that when my son gets out of bed he will wake her as well as he has a habit of slamming doors shut.

At 6 1/2 months I dont know the baby's sex because we couldn't tell at the last ultrasound, it was too active. I personally dont care what sex it is, I would like to know though. She on the other hand gets upset when someone inadvertantly refers to the baby as a "she" and comments she "cant wait for her grandSON to run around the place" and asks people if they "see her grandson" and points to my belly. I try to let it slide and just wait until the sex is known. But I think her confidence in one sex and nearly opposition to the other isnt right or fair for that matter because honestly the male "chooses" the sex Im just a nuturer! How can I appropriately respond?

She has always slept through the night 11 or 12 hours since she was 3 months and slept by herself in her crib and room since she was 2 1/2 months, but she would wake up but go back to sleep on her own with no problems. Now she wakes up to two times crying and it takes us up to two hours to get her back to sleep. As soon as we go in and get her she stops crying so I dont think it's teething. I also thought it was becuase we just had a baby but she loves her baby brother and always wants to love on him, he really doesn't seem t affect her at all which suprised me. She also started fighting me to put her down for her nap and bedtime. She cries and screams to where I just want to give up and let her ware herself out. My husband and I are late owls so she started going to bed at 11 pm on her own since she was 3 months. I know it's a late bedtime but atleast she had the same routine every night with no problems, her nap time was always by 2 pm. What happened and will she ever go back

My mother will make comments such as 'someone could report you for taking your daughter to work for that evening shift'. (I only took her to work for a 3 months stint in between babysitters.. maybe a total of 10 shifts). I asked a question on here and I had alot of positive repsonses.. and then one where someone said 'that is neglect and abuse' Is it just me, or are people throwing that word around too much? It almost makes you scared to talk about parenting unlesss someone disagrees with your style. When I was a kid there was no car seats. All of the famers left their kids in the house for hours to do chores. So many of our generation were spanked until bruised and scared of our parents. So many things have changed and their are so many rules, I am afraid of breaking one and getting reported because I didn't know about some new 'abuse'. What happened to parenting being common sense?

i dated this stupid boy for like 8 months, The biggest mistake of my life. But i think that anybody can admit that they have made a mistake. He is straight up white trash.. i just did not notice it till after i got fed up with his bull sh*t. He droped out his senior year in high school. He works with cars.. painting them w/e. We got into a rally bad wreck and he didn't have insucarence with his car. So he ended up like 20,000 dollars in debt.. They took his driver lic. away from him. I have no idea what was going through my head. Well a long story short.. i'm having his baby next month.. i need to know the rules in tennessee!!.. i want him away from my kid. I don't want child support i want him away. Is there anything i can do.. I wish i could explain ya'llk more about this boy.. he is a player and nasty kid... he drinks all the time.. very verbal abusive.. horrible family... i do not want my kid in this situation i don't care if it sounds unfair to him or not!!! what can i do ?

My 3 year old daughter has been taking gymnastics classes for about 6 months. She loves it. Two weeks ago, a little girl started in her class who has taken a liking to my daughter. This girl is very clingy, touchy, and wants to hold my daughters hand all the time. Now, this is OK, except, my daughter is NOT into it and get's really annoyed and whiney when she doesn't get left alone. Last week, because the two of them were fighting, they were both asked to leave class early. I have tried to talk with the Mother, but she thinks its cute that her daughter likes my daughter and can't see the issue. My daughter doesn't want to go anymore.

Should I make her work through this (I feel bad about this, but I hate to take away gymnastics when I know she likes it).

Or...Should I just take her out of the class completely? The new girl isn't going anywhere.

Other ideas?

when its time to lay down I wrap her arms she sleeps more soundly this way. Since she was a few weeks old I would find the blanket over her face. I can move it to just find it over her face again. I worry about SIDS. Does anyone have any advice as what to do?
