I think it depends on the parents. If the kid hasnt moved out yet, than when the parents are tired of them they should make them move out. I also think that the kid should get a job and help out when he/she can.

Well, I left to be out on my own the very last day of high school after I had graduated, to live with a guy I had known for 2 weeks. We have been together for about 9 months now, and also have a child together. Realistically, I think 18 is good (I was). I had also left unexpetadly and didnt leave good terms between my mom and the guy I am with. We are getting better now, but it will never be perfect because we can hardly stand each other. Enough about me though.

It depends. Ideally you would leave for college at 18 and when you graduate you get your own place. If you are not going to college I think you should start working at 18 and start saving money and move out by 20 or 21 maybe?

Well if you dont do stupid things, and you do your school work and dont make stupid mistakes, you should be moving out to go to college when you are 18 and then getting a job afterwards and living on your own, or if you dont have the money, living with a roommate.

age 18, thats only if you have a steady job. Because it is hard enough for two adult to live together(mom and dad) just think of three you need your independance, only if you know how to wash you clothes, cook for yourself, beware of people using you, knowlege of paying a bill.
