How do you push?

You need to keep your legs apart just while you're trying to deliver. You don't have to stay that way throughout labor.

Pushing is a little hard to describe, so forgive me for being gross. It's a bit like pooping - you use the same muscles to push, you just direct it slightly differently. Keep in mind that most first-time moms take a little bit to get the hang of it.

you know, most hospitals have a childbirth class where they will teach you all of this and they will also teach you newborn care basics, i would look into it. You push a little like if you are constipated, and your legs are apart because you need to make room for the baby to come out

During labor your legs can be anywhere you want them to...but for actual birth the doctors want a clear view.

You push by focusing all your energy to that region...you will feel the pressure and you just push against it. It is natural and you can do it :)

You have your legs open so the baby can come out. You push each time you are having contractions. The doctor will guide you.
Maybe taking a lamaze class will help.

Because a baby has to come out of there... push like you're having a hard BM.

you don't have to stay in any one position, when you push it is an overwhelming urge you can't control. you need to spread your legs, or crouch down so someone (hopefully a trained proffessional\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\) can catch the baby.
watch a baby story on tv. it is on discovery channel.
