I have taken 4 pregnancy tests since since my husband and I had intercourse. They have all been negative. We really want to be pregnant and I expect my period in 5 days. I thought that the early pregnancy tests would indicate a positive result by now. I have very sore breasts, short attention span, slight cramps, could I be pregnant and just have too low of hcG? The waiting is definitely difficult!

I am going to be buying gender neutral (Winnie the Pooh) nursery items so I can reuse all the room/crib decorations with my next child regardless if it is a boy or girl.

I know I sound cheap, but to decorate a whole nursery is going to cost me $500 and I figured the next baby won't care that it's second hand anyways! :) Plus we planned to have our children close in age.

Did you use the same nursery items for more than one child?

He just doesn't stop! He's very hyperactive most of the time, he only wants to run around, throwing things, and just making a mess. If I try to hold him, change his clothes or diper, feed him, bath or put him to sleep he starts crying as if I'm torturing him...seriously, he cries so horrible it sounds that something is hurting him. I think he would have loved being a cave man.

He goes to sleep very late, between 12 to 1:30 am. It's frustrating because I work during the day and I feel like a zombie at the office because of lack of sleep.

Right now he stays at my mom's while I'm at work, but I'm thinking about daycare. Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think it would help to mold his behavior? Are all toddlers uncontrolable like mine? He's 1 yr. and 4 months old now but he's been behaving like that from a really early age.

Help!!!

I am 3 months and I just bought a pair of cute bear slippers because I had to have them. They will be cute for a boy or girl.

I don't plan to really buy anything else until after my baby shower.

How far along were you when you began buying baby stuff?

I am a new mother of a 7 week old girl. My husband and I moved in with his parents to help us get on our feet while I'm not working. Now I am having a problem with advice that I just dont want. If my baby is crying his mother will chime in "when did she have her last bottle?" If I'm going to put her to bewd she'll say "put her on her side she likes that." If she's crying for too long she'll add in " she just has a bellyache" and so on and so forth. I know what my baby likes and what she needs!! Also, is it wrong to feel negatively about having to "share" her with my mother-in-law just because we live with her. She will literally take her out of my arms or call her "my baby." She's not her baby! Lastly, I am always being watched. I'll be holding her or singing to her, you know, just interacting and sharing a special moment with my baby and I look over and she's staring at us. I've had it! I know it may seem harmless but I'm at my wits end with this. Any suggestions?

I have been breast feeding my child and occasionally giving her the bottle. She never cared who was giving her the bottle. I didn't give her a bottle for a few weeks and now she won't drink from one! I am trying to get on her formula and i thought it was the taste of the formula that was making her not take the bottle, when i tried to give her my breast milk in a bottle she wouldn't take that either!!!! What do i do? She will not drink from the bottle when my husband tries to give it to her either.

My daugher is 17 months old and still drinks her morning and nighttime milk out of a bottle. My pediatrician said I need to pull the bottle cold turkey right now, but she's carrying it around all day like a pacifier. And some women breastfeed until 2 years old. Don't they need the sucking motion still?

Should we pull the bottle, ease her off, or keep giving it?

I was out at the mall today, pushing my 5 month in the stroller, when a lady come up and started talking to her, then pulled her soother out of her mouth. I was shocked, couldn't believe it, my daugther started crying. I looked at the lady and gave her a dirty look and told her that was very rude of her to do that, and not to just assume she can touch peoples babies. I mean there are so many germs, and who knows what she touched last with her hand, and shes touching my daughters soother, something that goes in her mouth. I was so mad, I started to walk away, and she said "I have never met anyone so rude before", I just kept walking, but wasn't I in the right to tell her not to touch my daugther?

Or the people that have used such methods are "lazy"/"mean"/etc.? When my daughter was developmentally ready (at four months, this varies for different babies), and she had demonstrated that she COULD go to sleep on her own but WOULDN'T because she relied on sleep crutches, we decided to try Dr. Ferber's method. It wasn't half as bad as the pregnancy forums made it out to be. On the contrary it involves a lot of work from the parents. You don't just leave the baby "to cry it out all alone/in despair/etc.". To work, you have to set up a consistent calming routine, be it story/bath/feed, and THEN you put them into the crib drowsy, yet awake. Of course the baby will fuss/cry, and you do intervene, but eventually the baby learns how to close their eyes and fall asleep. It makes parents become aware of their babies cries and learn how to decipher which is protesting, pain, etc. my seven month old falls asleep on her own, and throughout the night, even travelling and rarely cries now

We just moved into our house recently and havent build on like we plan on doing. So for now our unborn son will be sleeping in our room. Im almost 20 weeks pregnant, and it seems like my hubby doesnt want me arranging and putting up the crib yet. I dont know why. I feel like i need a place to start storing things that ive already bought, but my hubby doesnt want to EVER talk about it. He said we could do it like 3 weeks ago, and still its not done. There are tons of things to move to make room for the crib. Is it wrong to just do it anyways regardless of what he says? Or should i just let it be and see how long it takes for him to come up with the idea? Im not going to want to arrange and move things when im 7 months pregnant...can i just go ahead and start?
