Pregnancy & Parenting - 31 January 2007

Yesterday I felt like discharge going down. I felt it again after like 3 minutes and again.. then it stopped. The colour was white not pinkish I never had this amount of discharge once in a go. I was scared that my waters were about to break but they didn't. Could this be the show? after how long having the show could I go into labour? I'm due 13th Feb but my OB said I won't make it till that date as my tummy is "hard".

It almost feels as if the baby is going to fall out of me at times. Could this mean that I am dialating or is my body just getting prepared?

I like the more traditional ones where as he wants it to be real original etc.....We just do not see eye to eye on names, Anyone else had this problem? If so how did you overcome it? I ask because the only solution I can see is giving in and allowing our child to end up with a name that in twenty years everyone is laughing at!! Please advise x

Hi i just found out that i was pregnant and i have not had my first apt yet and i have had some very litle bleeding today. Some times it is a lite red and some times it is a brownish color! Is this normal? Please help i am so scared that i am going to loose my baby. Only serious answers please.

I am 32. My dr called me and told me that my Triple test results are not normal and has asked me to see genetic counsellor and also recommended amniocentesis. Is there anybody who had positive triple test but had normal babys. Pl help i am shattered since i got call from dr today morning.

I have a good friend who has a beautiful 2 year old daughter. The kid's father is kind of a "whack-job" and the mom is now worried for the safety of the child.

She does not have a lot of money and is looking for some free legal advice ... below is her e-mail to me ...

On Jan 17 she took the pill in the night and later that night we had sex. She was taking the pills since a week by then. She stopped taking it by the next day we had sex. Then about 2 weeks (this happened today) later she has been thinking about not having periods although she was expecting it to Jan18 (the next day she stopped taking pills). Is this a sign of pregnancy. If yes then what are the known ways to confirm it ?

My oldest daughter is now 8. I was thinking I would give her a run down of how to wash basic dishes.... plastic cups, plastic/kids plates, and spoons, forks, and bowls.
There wouldn't be any knives, or glass.
Do you think 8 years old is an okay age to start?

My daughter got her first two teeth at 8 months.. She will be a year old Feb 20th and has finally started teething again! I can see that her top two are coming in, but I'm not sure what it should look like to tell if any others are coming as well. How many teeth did your children have by this age, and how many teeth do babies normally get before they are 18 months or 2 years old? Thanks :)

Just curious of when you started to potty train your child and how long it took you. What did you try and what worked? Were you potty training a boy or a girl? How did you know if they were ready? Were you ready? Thanks! My daughter is almost 20 months and watches when mommy uses the potty and likes to sit on the potty (she has a Dora insert and a Dora step stool) she also removes her diapers when wet or comes to show me that she is wet.

My sister who will be 35 in March with her husband have been trying to conceive for nearly three years and I think she will star IVF next month. They live in a different country to me and my hubby.
In April we will have been married for two years and since last April we have been ttc with no such luck either.
My question is should I tell her that we too are trying with no luck or not mention it to her as she obviously has her own problems. Plus I don't really want to admit to anyone that it is taking us so long... I was hoping to be pregnant by now and then just tell them when we get a positive, but should I let her know that we are at least trying too... Its really no one else's business but ours, but I don't want to hurt her feelings if and when we do become pregnant?
Can I get some general advise here?? Please and thank you.

Im 32 wks pregnant, and i found out today that the baby is breech. The doctor said she wasnt too worried at this point. Is it normal for babies to be in breech at this stage, and how likely will i tbe that she will change her position by the time i give birth?

i want to hear about women who have gotten preg right after giving birth (with in 6 wk period) or even a lil after the 6 wk period. was everything okay? was the baby okay? did it cause any infection? were you okay? I would like to know how long after you stopped taking the pills your periods came, and if you temped, what did your chart look like during and after the pills.
