And does your husband/boyfriend talk to your belly as well? What do you talk about? I talk to my baby when she starts kicking me! My hubby doesn't talk to the baby much, he likes to touch and rub my belly instead.

Yep - i talk to my "bump" everyday. I read stories every night, i sing to baby, i even do running commentary while i'm cooking (step by step instructions on what "Mummy" is adding to the pot right now! lol). I talk about mundane stuff - you know, "Baby we are going to go for a drive to Nanna's house now" or "Baby, Daddy is working late tonight so how about you and i go get ourselves some icecream" etc... i'm sure i look a bit odd at times! lol.

My fiance talks to baby everyday too - kisses "the bump" every morning and night, rubs my belly and tells baby not to "kick mummy's ribs" (my baby's newest trick! lol).

Its very reassuring - and like yours, my baby tends to respond to me too - by kicks or moving etc (not so much to the father though... bit of rebellion already? lol).

I am just 10 weeks and I read "Oh baby, the places you will go" to our baby and my husband sings and talks to our child almost every night when we go to bed. He also loves to rub and touch my belly. This is our first.

I really dont do the talkin' to my belly. My husband always rubs my tummy and kisses it. He's so sweet. I'm 7 weeks and this will be our first child. Oh yeah, he talks to it to. Probably getting the baby (if its a boy) ready for football or basketball, you know those men and thier sports.

well i don't believe about the hole science and maths thing i have heard of it before my mother used to play classical music to her belly when she was pregnant with my older sister she's VERY muscially talented you can put any sort of music or music instrument in front of her and she can play it, I play music from my phone to my belly and it depending on what the music is it will either pump the baby up and make him move around alot more or it will clam him down, the only time i really talk to my belly is when he is kicking the crap outa me and moving around ALOT i tell him to calm down...it doesn't usually work lol my partner talks to him and i can already feel the bond between them both. They say that if you sing luabys read books play the same song over through out your pregnancy one the baby is born if you sing that song luaby or read that book it will calm the baby down when its crying

Each time I was pregnant I talked constantly to the baby. I gave descriptions of the family and their personalities so they would know who was who when they arrived. I read books to my baby, told my baby how much I loved her. Anyything and everything.
My Bf spent hours talking to my belly, he would whisper really low so I couldnt hear. And would explain about sport etc and how much he loved her. My Mum also talked alot to my belly, just to make sure the baby would know who she was straight away.
And when I was pregnant with my second our daughter would talk to my belly and every night she would lay her head on belly and sing the baby a lullaby before she herself would go to sleep. It was soooooo beautiful.

We talk to the BABY not the belly..LOL. I have talked to each and every one of them and it has been proven that babies hear what's going on out here a little later in the preg. Daddy talks and touches...We call her by name and I don't think it's weird.

im not pregnant.. but i've learned that it's really important to talk to your baby while in the womb because they actually respond and will know your voice and stuff.. tell your hubby to rub and talk! =]
