Im 32 wks pregnant, and i found out today that the baby is breech. The doctor said she wasnt too worried at this point. Is it normal for babies to be in breech at this stage, and how likely will i tbe that she will change her position by the time i give birth?

I think it is very normal,my son was breech until 3 days before I had him,my best friend has 4 boys and 2 of them were breech until the night before and 1 was until she was 39 weeks. The chances are very good of her changing to head down before you give birth.

Babies move a LOT. It is very common for the baby to be in breech position at some point between the 30-40th weeks of pregnancy. If the baby stays in that position the doctor may try to rotate the baby (which can be painful, but has a pretty good success rate around 70% I believe) or just choose to do a c-section. My 2nd child was in breech position from week 27 on. She never rotated back around. I had a c-section and it was no big deal. I even got to choose the date, because they don't want you to go into labor if your child is in breech.

Anyhow, it's normal and nothing to worry about.

I found out by the ultrasound at 32 & 33 weeks that my son was breech but i knew from the time i was 5 months on that he was turned the wrong way by the way he kicked. He did not turn at all. I ended up having him at 35 weeks (i had pre-eclampsia) by a c-section.
Yes they can turn but don't be surprized if it dosen't.
Good luck and congrats

i had the same problem and its ok. My doctor told me to get on all fours so the baby can move around a little better and can become positioned for birth. I did this and within 3 days he was right where he should be. Good luck,

My cousins baby was breech at 32 weeks so they scheduled a
section because it was not likely that she would turn by that point
but a week later she did turn and had a natural birth......good luck

I was always told at 32 weeks, your baby is "usually" in position. But that doesn't mean yours won't turn. Could depend on how much room baby has too. I woouldn't worry by any means yet. I think all of mine do gymnastics until the last minute. My last one was in position until week 37, then he flipped breech. But by that time, trust me, you'll feel the baby turn.
You have plenty of time!!! Dont worry!

my baby was too......no worries :) theres nothing you can do about it anyways. when the time comes if she is still breech they will try to manually move her and if that doesnt work then c section. but you still have 7 -8 weeks to go

If she doesn't turn around in a few weeks, you should consider doing certain postures at home to encourage her to turn. You get on all fours and then rest on your front forearms. I read this in a book and if you do it several times per day for 15 minutes or so, it can encourage her to turn around.

Doctors can also perform an ECV to manually turn her in the womb, which is considered very safe.

Getting her to turn can help you avoid major, unecessary surgery: a c-section.

The odds are the same as if she wasn't breech at this point. However there are safe things you can do to encourage her to turn.

Breech tilts, light, music, chiropractic care, acupuncture, etc

Try not to worry. Most babies turn them selves by the time delivery comes. There is a good chance she will turn so just relax and try not to worry about it now. good luck. ♥
