My son is getting a little too old for his britches. He knows about sex, drugs, most of all right from wrong. The other day he went around school telling friends "Doug did Missy" which Missy is his nine year old sister and doug is even younger I seriously need help

Hi I am newly pregnant and was wondering is it possibnle that it can be too soon to do an ultrasound? My doctor did one yesterday and they did not see anything idicating pregnancy although they did see I am pregnant based on my Hcg level. I am only four weeks along at the most, should I be worried?

Does anyone have any ideas for activities to keep my almost 3 year old active (and out of the house) in the wintertime? The park is out, we go to the mall and ride the carosuel, we do the Mcdonalds playland thing... anything else anyone can think of??

I am a mother of two children one being a 7 yr old little girl -my question is what the heck is going on in our world where little girls my daughter;s age think they are fat and need to go on a diet. My daughter's best friend spent the night and kept telling me she was fat and on a diet and was trying to look like the skinny girls on tv.. Why can't tv,hollywood and all these so called movie stars step up to the plate and stop making it look cool to be anorexic. Even with us as parents telling them -that hollywood girls are fake etc.... and it is allright to be yourself etc.....tv,magazines are still making girls feel that if they do not look a certain way -no one will want them...what more can we do to prevent this....

What is your view of spanking a misbehaving child? Is it abusive and will teach the children that their behavior is not in their own control (which I've read on several parenting websites), or do you think spanking is an appropriate parenting tool to help teach the child to behave?

Congress is in the process of passing a law that would make it a crime to spank children. It would be considered a misdemeanor, the person would receive jail time, and a fine of $2,000. Now me, Im19 years old and i got spanked. I hated when my mother did it but it kept me out of a lot of potential trouble. Im still a kind of bad *** but it could have been worse. Im not in prison or anything. Takin into account that i may be pregnant with a child right now i do not want some law tellin me how to discipline my kids. There is a line between abuse and discipline. This woman that wants the law to be passed doesnt even have children! What are yr opinions on th issue?

If you were my mother or just me in general, would you appeal this disciplinary action the school has chose to take? So I asked the deans if they were dating as a retaliation kind of thing to his yelling at the top of his lungs for me to get off 'his property'.. now all I did was say "So what are you and Ms.Espo- dating now? How long yall been dating for", he was fuming and called the cops and I also got a ticket.. but the school chose to sentence me for 18 weeks in a behavior school. Keep in mind, I do have a lot of other referrals for talking back to teachers, nothing more than arguing with them.. would you appeal their decision?? Do you think my mom should even try to appeal it?? What are your thoughts? Thanks 10 points.

My 3 1/2 year old has been in a peanut butter phase lately. I've even put peanut butter in oatmeal, pancake batter, and on waffles. Today, he dipped his chicken nuggets in peanut butter for lunch. He's still getting a balanced diet + peanut butter. Do you think I should limit his intake, or just wait until he grows out of this phase? Is there any food that your kid has fixated on like this?

I live in the "great white north" aka Canada, and its pretty cold here these days. My son is almost a year old. My husband thinks the baby should be wearing a scarf. I'm leaning against it since I've read it can be a hazard.

She was given a BLANK book with about 40 BLANK pages. WE as a family are supposed to fill the BLANK book with a creative story or mishap or favorite thing. We have to detail it (inside and out). I figured EASY (friends and pets) those are her favorite things. Then I saw some of the other families ideas (ie..Why I will be a chef in Paris or This is what I will create when I grow up) and I freaked. OURS sounded well bad....
Any ideas out there? Oh and this is NOT cheating, this is creative collaberation.

think my friends think I'm all superwoman this month. This month has been very very stressful for me. I've had band reherals for nights and I wind up exhausted. my homework is piling up. A girl in my grade is being a byotch and spreading nasty rumors about me. Im trying to loose 3 pounds for semi formal. My skin is broken out and acne treatments arent working. My friend (a)is having troubles with her boyfriend. the other( b)is fighting with the first friend. B is stalking a boy and asking my advice. Im trying to be good to them and my other friends but I get so stressed and ***** or cry. friend e asks me to hang out and gets mad because im already doing something. I am not superwoman. my son is 5 years old and has been out of pullups for 3 weeks. he is a slow learner and finally was able to get the concept of the toilet. since i took the pullup away he didnt have a bowel movement for 6 days so i finally gave him karo syrup and a day later it worked, he went 5 times that day, but now it has been almost a week and he hasnt gone anymore since the karo syrup. he doesnt complain of a belly ache and has been letting gas normally. my only concern is i dont want to depend on karo syrup all the time, so what can i do to help him get back on a normal bowel movement schedule of every 2 days like he previously was? his doctor was not to concerned about it and tried to tell me to quit his toilet training, but that didnt work either. any suggestions?
