It depends on if they are getting their license at the age of 16. If not then 10 should be late enough maybe even 9. But if they have at 16 gotten their license then i would revalutate the time. At 13 what would they need to be doing passed 10?

13 and 16 are very different ages. It all depends on how much you trust them, and if you set a curfew, will they come in later than they're supposed to? I'd say for a 13 year old, weekend curfew should be 10:30...for a 16 year old, 11:30-12 the latest...During the week it should be 9.

Okay for teens 13-16 Monday- Thursday curfew is 5:00, and Friday-Saturday curfew is 10:00, and Sundays are a 4:30 curfew.

Like most people have already mentioned, maturity plays a huge role in this question. Same with age difference. I am a 17 year old girl, and not to toot my own horn, but I would say that I am a trustworth kid. Thus, I was rewarded. Obviously at 13, my mother was still driving me around, and no way on Earth was she going anwhere later than 9 at night. Once I got my license and car, and my mom knew I was trustworthy, my curfew in the summer became midnight. On school days it was 10:30. But I suggest talking with the child. Ask them what they think is reasonable and discuss with them. Now you dont have to think anything of their opinion, but it is just an idea.

I think it compeltely depends on the age of the teen. In my opinion, a 13 year old should not be out with friends past 10 on weekends. But a 16 year old could probably be allowed out until midnight on weekend nights. But this is assuming the kid is responsible, does well in school, etc. I think regardless of age, teens shouldn't be out past 8 on school nights. They should be home having dinner with their family and doing homework.
