I did not. When i rented a car, I looked into renting one and it cost more then to buy one. See, we were flying to florida and renting a car. i wasnt sure if I would have room to take the car seats, so I looked into renting. But when I saw how much it would cost, I said we can either buy more when we are down there (which was stupid, I already had 3)or take ours with us. (we had the backless boosters) So i got the biggest duffle bag I could buy and took the arms off the seats and I fit 2 seats in the bag, as well as the arms-but not attatched.

Yes, once when I rented a car at an airport. It wasn't too expensive. The only problem I had was getting it installed. I insisted the car company install it for me since I had a youngster to look after and I was unfamiliar with the vehicle and that particular carseat.

WOW you learn something new everyday, I didn't know it was possible to do a child seat rental. Well anyways here is a link I found on Hertz website about car seat rentals.

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/byr/index.jsp?targetPage=InfantSeats.jsp&EXTRAS_KEY=CSI&leftNavUserSelection=globNav_3_3_5

If you need a booster seat rental here is the link for that one

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/byr/index.jsp?targetPage=BoosterSeats.jsp&EXTRAS_KEY=BST&leftNavUserSelection=globNav_3_3_1

Good luck, I haven't personally rented one, I wouldn't be to sure if you could trust renting one though. Because I have heard that once a car seat has been in a accident they aren't safe anymore.

i never have. I have a hard time trusting if that rented car seat was in an accident, or maybe they took really bad care of it and somethings is broken, or gonna break.. sorry i'm a little parinoid about my child, we took our own car seat with us when we traveled. plus my daughter is used to her seat and i know everything there is to know about my car seat!

I looked into it once and was way too expensive. I just took my kid's car seat on the plane with us, it was actually safer for him that way.
