she cries and cries louder and kicks, screams, jumps, hits,what can i do for her to calm down and for me to control her, not for her to control us as parents. we give her what she wants to stop teh crying and we know that is wrong, she knows she can control us by being loud. turning off teh t.v does not work, time out does not work..nothing works to control her. what can we do? what ideas do you have that will teach her what is ok and not ok. we don't want to dicipline her by spankinking. we were beat when young and it gets uglyier.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year now. Each month I look for symptoms before even my missed period. Does or has anyone else do/done this? Like this week, a week before my period is due, I've had a day of full-blown nauseousness/dizziness, even somewhat after I eat; and I've also had minor cramping in my abdomen and I've felt bloated and have gas.

Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on Dec 6th only for about 5mins and he didnt ***** at all but I know he can pre*** I got my period 4 days late and it was alittle litter but Ive been stressing alot. I took 3 tests all 3 were negative. Now in Jan. I got my period normally and it was on time. I havent been having any other signs of pregnancy but my right side of my stomack got alittle bigger. what do you think?

I was due to ovulate on Saturday 1-27. Around Thursday I started having the increased sex drive and the cm. We also baby danced this day and Friday. All was good and the symptoms stayed present until Saturday - the day I was actually supposed to o. What happened? Could I have conceived earlier and the cm and other symptoms stop? This has never happened to me before.....any help?

The Father of my son, is more worryed about going to school then helping me take care of our son. My son is 10 months old and his dad has never even seen him once in his life. I was in labor for 26 hours and almost lost my son. And if i didn't have the help of my parents I don't think I could take care of my son by my self. The state I live in wont help me get on child support untill I'm 25, and right now i'm on 22. I really don't know what to do anymore. I cant get a job, because I haven't finished high school yet. I dropped out when I was in the 12th grade. And now i'm having a hard time trying to find a adult school that I can go to in Indiana. Most places around here only take you untill your 21. So if you have any help please write me back. Thanks everyone one who read this. Kristal

every thing in my world has crashed and burned. my uncle raped me from age 11-13, my parents used to beat me to the point i would have 5 or 6 broken bones at a time, i had to raise my little brother since i was 11 because i was the only one wh would change to take care of him ((my parents were alwats drunk and wouldnt take care of him)),then finally we started to live with my grandparents and i thought every thing was going to be good but then, i got pregnant, my bf came to live with us, that was ok, but then......yesterday.......my baby died, because I was sicka and the baby became sick inside of me and she died. i have had so many years of untreated depression, is there a cure?? cuz i eed it, and if not, how do i deal with this, i've been hut for so long and this has finally put me totally over the edge, i have had cutting problems, cutting isnt gonna fix this one, im hurting to bad for cutting to help, im 14 years old and i feel as if life should be over for me

My baby is 4 months old and I would like to start him on solids somewhere in the next month. Before I do so, I would like to read about feeding. I am totally clueless as to how to start, how much to feed, how much formula to continue, which foods to serve first...etc. Can anyone recommed a book that will help put all of this into perspective for me. I love to read, but am looking for something user friendly. Thank you!

hi i'm 21 weeks and 1 day.. with my 1st child. and i have been feeling something, i know it's my baby, but i don't know if they kicks??

before i was feeling butterflies which i still getting, but i'm not sure about these new feelings......

they feel like a nuge, it happens quite alot.. so what do you think?? and did yours feel like??

Let me explain: I think if they knew what they were doing they would be able to draw blood on the first try (poke) and also an IV.
My son was in the hospital this week for pnuemonia and i told the girl that was drawing blood that she had one chance to get it and if she couldn't to get someone that could to come and do it well she got it though but when they put in the IV the first girl couldn't (she poked him once but kept on moving it around so much that my son was screaming so i told her to stop right then and there and another girl done it right the first time she tried.
I think if they had any sense they could get it on the first try. If not then they need to go back to school until they master the art of drawing blood and putting in IV's.
Who else does the same thing when it comes to your child?

I have been off the pill for a few months now and haven't started a period yet. Lately I have been getting weird feeling in my stomach and having constant headaches. And last week I had a feeling like period cramping for a day or two.

Sometimes I wonder if I have gone a bit "overboard" in the child-proofing department, but I've always been of of the belief that it is better to let a child roam her home freely, without constantly having to be told "No! No! No!" And I think that by making her environment safe and kid-friendly, it has really made her into a very independent little kid (she's 22 months old).

But lately, I'm wondering if it would be better to have LESS child-proofing in the home, so she would learn what she *IS* and *IS NOT* allowed to do -- instead of just keeping it all out of her reach.

I find that we have a lot of problems when we visit other people's houses. She wants to get into everything & doesn't understand why she can't run around like she normally does at home. Does that mean it's time to remove some of the things I've installed so she'll learn this?

And what have you personally done in your own home to child-proof? Do you think you have too much, too little or just the right amount?

therefore, I know that my weeks are not an approximation - I have no sign of going into labor and everyone tells me that the baby will come when he is ready but I find that is contradicting as so many women have to be induce now a days - if they were to wait around for the baby to be ready - why would doctors need to induce as to wait until he is ready? Well, the point is that I have a feeling that is going to be my case - both my prior kids came at 38 weeks and I was able to feel that I was going into labor - I have tried every safe way to help myself (i.e. walking, squatting, hot baths, spicy food, sex, nipple stimulation, relaxation, etc.) and nothing has motivated the baby to even open 1 cm or to release the mucus plug.

The doctor says that I still have a couple of more weeks but it is rare that a third pregnancy would go over but it is possible - well my question is - (1) has anyone experienced this with their 3rd child? (2) Any suggestions? Have u been induced?

Im in shock still!!! I am the mom and step mom of 4 little boys and found out yeasterday that im carrying another BOY!! this is our last child and im so hurt :( i really wanted to have a daughter someday and now its simply just not possible. How can i get over this? Im happy to be pregnant and happy for this baby, i want him to be healthy and all of that, but inside i feel so "let down". He was 9oz and im 19 weeks, is that normal? I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I do not know the sex of the baby yet, however I have decided that if it is a boy, I want him circumsized. I am not Jewish, but I find that circumsizion looks better and is healthier, based upon my research. My boyfriend thinks it's mean, but he is circumsized and prefers that he was when he was a baby since he doesn't remember one bit. I want the baby circumsized, is this just cruel or was your son circumsized and what was your deciding factor?
