Yes take another test but get one that is trust worthy. The ones from a dollar store are often out dated and can give false readings.Trust me I used to be a manager for one of those stores and they just change the boxes of the good ones that have gone out of date. They put a good (out dated) test in one of there boxes so go and get a good test from a drug store.

I can tell you from experience I have taken four Dollar General Tests. Two of the $1 tests and two of the $4 tests. All of them came back negative. I went to the doctor and had a blood test done and found out that I am in fact pregnant. I just took these tests a few weeks ago and the blood test last week.

Some women do not have enough hormone in their system to show up on a urine test, other's do not show up until later. If I were you, I would consult with a doctor and have them test you if you think that you are pregnant. If not, there could very well be something else going on. Ask a medical professional before doing anything or dismissing anything.

Good luck!!

I would give it another week, and if nothing happens, take another test. It could be that your period is delayed because you're worried about it being late, or you are pregnant and the hormone levels aren't high enough to read yet. Some women don't get a positive urine test through their whole pregnancy.

Or there could be something else going on. How long has it been since you say the GYN? You may need to make an appointment, or visit planned parenthood to have a blood test ran and an exam preformed.

Good luck!

When was your last PAP smear? You should make an appointment with a Dr. If you are hesitating because of lack of funds, go to a community clinic. You may be pregnant and the off brand tests aren't accurate or you may have a uterine infection or other medical reason that you are so late.
See a doctor if after you use a test you bought a pharmacy you still get a negative result.

I actually had the same happen to me. I tried dollare general each week for 3 weeks after due. I waited and my period was actually 6 1/2 weeks from last one.

if both were neg then your are probably not pregnant. However most tests way wait another week and test again, in case you ovulated later than normal. Of course if you think you are then i reccommend the ept, from my experience it is the most acccurate.

Stress, weight gain or loss or illness can affect periods, and between Thanksgiving and Christmas are very stressful.

If I have flu etc and have to go antibiotics it really messes up my periods.

Call your Dr. There are other reasons not to have a period, like being significantly over or underweight . It can also be caused by stress, hormone imbalance, or excessive exercise. When this happens to a woman who has previously had periods, it's called secondary amennorhea. (It's called primary amenorrhea when you haven't had a period by age 16). It's probably not serious, but only a doctor can tell you for sure. In the meantime, there's a lot of info on the net about the condition.

There are lots of reasons you could be late. But Christmas wasn't that long ago, so wait it out and don't freak out about it... if its not here next month go see you gynocologist, or to a planned parenthood or something, if your not pregnant they will be able to tell you why you haven't had a period. Also sometimes if you take a pregnancy test to early it won't read if your pregnant. They are best to take 7 days after your misssed period, and in the morning with your first pee!!!

I will say, I have not had a period since November 22. I took 2 at homes and they were both neg. I went to the doc and they did a urine pregnancy test there and it was neg, they did a pap, normal, and they drew blood~I told them I might need my Hcg levels checked but all they wanted to test for was thyroid. It was normal, so...they gave me some pills and told me these pills would make me start within 5-10 days. I am on my 10th and still haven't started. So.....I don't know what's going on and I'm irritated at the doc for not testing hcg levels and now the office is closed for the day....anyway...Good luck to you and I hope you find out what's going on with you!

I would suggest making an appointment with your GYN. If you are not pregnant something is going on. Call the doc and make an app.

Most likely if you are testing negative with one test (no matter the brand) you will test negative with the rest too.

go to the dr and ask them to test you, there can be a few reasons why u have not started yet. it can be stress, or depending on ur age menopause. a change in ur diet would effect ur period and so will changing birth control methods. relax and take a breath. I take my test from the dollar store all the time and they are always accurate for me. best of luck to you
