Yes, I've had this happen a few times. It is always a corpus luteum cyst. My period usually starts a week or so after I expected it and only once I had to have a period induced with medication.

girls ovulate every month, it happens 2 weeks after you period, give or take a few days. Stress and other changes in your body can make your period late or not come at all for that month.

I'd just ask my OB/GYN's office.
