No you have nothing to worry about at all.
Rest asure that you are fine, if they have determined that you are pregnant then your good. You can not detect anything with an ultrasound until you are about 10-11 weeks. Because if you look at the stages of pregnancy, when you are 4 weeks along the baby is only the size of an apple seed. Which would be really hard to see what was what on the ultrasound. I know we have high tech stuff these days but it will still be hard to see it that early.
Here is a really good link to look at that tells you a little bit about the stages of pregnancy to help you understand a little bit better.
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy
Also go to the What to Expect When your Expecting website and you can do a free 30 days to see what things you can be doing now to help your body out with all of the changes that come with being pregnant. Plus they have a place on there were you can ask all kinds of questions and other women that are due around the same time as you will respond with their own answer. Its a great site I did it when I was pregnant recently. I learned stuff I didn't know and I have already had 1 kid. So good luck &
Congrats on the lil one.

I had my first u/s done at 5 weeks, 1 day. There was a black dot, but that was all. The u/s tech told me that's all they should see at that age. I had another u/s done exactly 2 weeks later. We could see a baby and a flicker from the heartbeat, so a LOT can happen in just a short amount of time. Did your OB have you schedule another u/s? If not, ask them if they can. It might depend on your insurance, but if they didn't see anything on this u/s, then I would think that insurance would pay for another u/s to confirm pregnancy. In the meantime, don't worry. If your OB is confident you are pregnant by your hcg level, then I'm sure you are. Best wishes.

OH GIRL! I just had this same problem. The lady that did my ultrasound said that sometimes you can't see anything if you are less than 2 months. I know exactly how you feel too its very nerve wrecking cause you'd think they would see something! I wouldn't be worried, at least I'm trying not to be! Give it a couple more weeks that's the only thing that I've heard that made any sense. You know you are pregnant and if nothing bad has happened then you still are. Just wait and you will see results! Congrats!!

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and I saw the fetus and a heart beat. I't may be too soon, I wouldn't worry. The gyno has the most accurate prego tests so I am sure you are pregnant. Ask to have another next visit.

At about 6-7 weeks, they'll be able to either see (it starts out as a blinking light!) or hear the heartbeat. They could also see the sacs--so you could know if you were having more than one. By about 10 weeks, you'll easily be able to see the baby on the ultrasound. You could see the baby earlier on a higher-tech 3D or 4D ultrasoun if your doctor has one.
Congratulations!!!!! God bless!

No you shouldn't worry. It is normal not to see anything yet. The implantation on the wall of the uterus is just budding. Most docs wait till 8 weeks to do a confirmation of due date via ultrasound. So relax and enjoy till your next appointment.

what kind of ultrasound did you get? They have vaginal ones that see early pregnancies. Also, it could be an eptopic pregnancy. Not to scare you, but it's just an explaination. Eptopic pregnancies show a postive pregnancy but the embryo is still in the fallopian tube and requires surgery for removal.

I'm surprised they even bothered to do an ultrasound that early to be honest. I didn't get an us until i was 18 weeks and I didn't even get to hear my babys hearbeat until 12 weeks. But congratulations on your baby and be patient - you'll see him or her soon enough!

I think it's at 6 weeks that they can see something by ultrasound. At 7 weeks we could see my baby's head, and her arm and leg buds.
