How far along were you when you began buying baby stuff?

I am 3 months and I just bought a pair of cute bear slippers because I had to have them. They will be cute for a boy or girl.

I don't plan to really buy anything else until after my baby shower.

best advice.> you wont need half the stuff you buy, ask your mother or friend thats already got growen kids to help you chose what to get, obviously bottles, steriliser, clothes, etc, by far the most useful thing i ever bought was a kind of carry bag that upziopped into a nappy changing mat with zips and compartments for changing a baby on the move, all the mothers willknow hat im talking about, it was so good, (by the way - breastfeed if you can, it will be the best thing you ever do for your childs long term health, find out and search, i think the healthiest part of milk is called collustrum(?) its got all the cures and anti-bodies for every disease your immune system has ever been exposed to and you'll be passing on that to your child to give its immune system a head start and be a healthy baby, good luck

I started early because I knew I was going to need alot and couldn't afford a bunch of stuff at once. But I wish that I had waited until after the baby shower. I could have saved a lot of money.

i am 21 weeks and i got a few neutral items for christmas from some family. i have only bought one outfit so far. but now that i know i am having a boy, if i see a great deal that i cant pass up, ill jump on it. otherwise im waiting till after the baby shower. good luck

Hi, i would really recommend you to start buying diapers, bodysuits, bibs and socks in two colors green and yellow. Its good if you wait for your baby shower but when you're pregnant and go to the stores you wanna grab everything regardless of what are you having! but trust me that diapers are the less thing you're gonna get at your baby shower. I was 4 months when i started to buy my baby stuff, and before i knew what i was having everything i bought was yellow and green!

Oh, I lasted about a week! LOL I bought a baby book to give to DH to tell him about the pregnancy. I did wait for the shower for major items. Dad made my crib & changing table. I also bought clothes once I knew I was having a boy.

20 weeks... I found a nursery bedding set online that was 50% off, so I had to buy it. Otherwise I have just been collecting things that people have been giving me. If I had more money, I would probably be shopping a lot more though for the baby... its fun! :)

I bought two things for my baby in the first trimester(right after i found out i was pregnant) and then i bought some stuff in the middle of my second trimester, most of the stuff i have now was boughten at the beginning of my third trimester, and of course I am still buying items.

5.5 months. I bought a couple pink things after I found out it was a girl...but other than that I'm not buying anything until after the shower.

But if you want to buy stuff then go ahead! It's exciting and fun to pick out baby things. :)

i started as soon as i found out i was pregnant lol. i found out when i was 5 weeks, and i started buying small items from about 7 weeks on lol yea i know thats early but i was excited :). im almost 20 weeks now with a boy and i already have tons of clothes, sleepers, onsies, blankets, bottles, wipes lol things like that even the crib! Whenever you feel like buying something for your baby, do it! Dont feel bad, try be excited, thats what its about :) CONGRATS and goodluck!!!

shame on me.... im 24 weeks ( its a girl))
and I havent bought a singe thing!

Im broke! I like to see what i get at my baby shower then buy what ever else I need.

This time I might try and stock up on more diapers they go FAST!!!!!!!
