I calculate the first day of my last cycle to give me my conception date and due date. With everything that happened that month I remember well because I was getting married in a few wks and had my iud removed the may 2nd. So we could try for a baby on our honeymoon. I started on my period on may 3rd. We thought what's 12 days till the wedding to go ahead and try? Bottom line is that I know my dates, could the sono be wrong? The reason I ask is i thought the babies head faces down at 33 weeks. Dr says I am 31 weeks but sono showed the babies head is down. What's the rule? I think the baby will be here by 12/31-Feb 6th Dr says Feb 22nd. Can I trust my own dates?

I'm due in April and I'd really like to have this baby without an epidural. This is my 3rd, so I have some ideas about how to handle pain. I was wondering if anyone was willing to share their non-epidural birthing stories. Totally natural? If you had some form of pain relief, what was it? Love to hear your story. Gory details welcome. Thanks!

She is a teenage night owl. Unfortunately she has to get up aerly for some school evnets and on other nigths she has to staly late for activities, not to mention the time needed to study and do home work. She says when she trys to go to bed her mind won't stop working. She has tride 3 mg of melotonin, but that hasn't worked. I'm not comfortable going to 6 mg. She is sluggish during the day and has fallen asleep in class a couple of times. She has tried the radio - music, but she ends up singing the songs in her head. I am suggesting either talk radio or am static from teh radio. Has anyone had success with the "ocean sounds"? Help the helpless dad! Thx

On average, they say breast tenderness starts as early as 3 weeks, or right before a missed period. My question is... how long does it typically last? A week.. couple weeks...

My 6 year old son came home today and told me that someone in his class said that was no such thing as Santa and when he aasked me I didn't know if I should lie to him. I really didn't get a chance to say anything because my 5 year old jumped in and started arguing with him about it. What should I tell him if he asked me again?

For those of you who had your period while being pregnant--how in the world did you know you were? Were you able to get a positive pregnancy test? I wasn't sure if having the period would mask the results.

I was just wondering what everyone thought because it seems to me if a child is potty trained that means they now use the potty and are completely off of diapers or pullups at anytime. If they wet the bed or have frequent accidents, then they aren't fully trained. What do you think?

I don't know what's going on with my 6 yo girl. She's acting like she cant' do anything by herself, she's throwing tantrums like my 2 yo son. Then I have my 2 yo who is doing the same thing she does, he's mean to my animals, he's a typical 2 yo. I feel like I'm going out of my mind!! I can't run away because I love them, and we don't have any money for me to go somewhere, like play pool, or just go to a friends house.

When I leave, they scream and cry for me, when I'm home, they act like they don't want me here. Constantly yelling at me, throwing stuff at me, ignoring me, and wanting to do things for themselves. I don't know what's going on with me, if I'm menstrul, or if I'm pregnant, but the slightest thing sets me off, and I stay mad for a quite a while.

Is there anyone that has had this problem/issue/whatever, and how did you deal with it?

Hello... I took my children to the doctor on Friday because they had high fevers and cold like symptoms. They doctor swabbed their noses and said they have the flu. My middle daughter ran a fever of 103 W,Th,F&S. On Sunday she was fever free. I sent her to school on Monday only to have her come home with a fever of 103. She hasn't had a fever yet today but still feels "yuck". My oldest daughter had a fever of 104 Th,F,Sat&Sun. She has been fine since Sunday. My youngest daughter (2 years old) started her fever on Saturday and continued through Monday. Tuesday she seemed fine and now today has had a fever of 104.5. She is miserable and the fever reducer is not taking the fever completely away. Does anyone know when this is going to end? I don't remember any flu that I've had in the past cause fevers this high or for this long of a period. If my youngest still has a fever in the morning I'm calling her doctor. Has anyone else had this flu? When will it end? Thanks!!!

Just wanting to see some parents opinions on this topic... I am a single dad and I have 3 year old triplets (sons) and every once in a while we will take a shower together. This is not an every day thing, just some mornings they enjoy taking turns to be with me alone. It is hard sometimes to get time alone with them and this is the only time I get to individually bond with them. I know some people think this is wrong, and others see no problems with it. I just wanted to know what people thought. I know there is a lot of people suspicious of sexual preditors, etc. and that is understandable, but is it really bad for a father and son to shower togehter? Boys will end up being at school in gang showers someday anyways... any thoughts?

My son (6 1/2 months) is in size 3 diapers. We use the White Cloud brand from walmart & LOVE them.. until recently they have started leaking at night. I'm not sure why unless he is just consuming more liquids & 'producing' more liquids. They use to last all night long (8pm to about 7 or 7:30 am). He wakes up around 3 or 4 am & gets a bottle, then goes back to bed. His pjs haven't been wet when he gets up with a bottle it's always when he wakes up for the day. He has also recently started sleeping on his tummy which I think may be part of why it is leaking out. The other night I even changed his diaper when he got a bottle (which was a nightmare because he just cried the whole time, he did not like being messed with while half asleep) & it still leaked. We have not had a problem with the diapers leaking during the day at all. Can anyone suggest a different diaper for him to wear during the night that works for you. I want to continue to use white cloud for the day since they are cheaper!
