Pregnancy & Parenting - 23 December 2006

Is there a trick to keep brushing a neat process? I have tried putting the toothpaste into a little container for them to dip their toothbrush in, but that hasn't worked.

Is there a brand of toothpaste that is friendlier to smaller children? I've tried all the usual kid stuff...colgate, crest, aquafresh, etc.

I do try to help them brush, but sometimes I can't. Any tips would be greatly appreciated...

I don't ahve many maternity clothes yet and I am scared my normal fitted tops will be permanantly stretched so I won't beable to wear them again after I give birth.

i am angry at my grandaughter, she wanted some xmas money and said her friends get xmas money. welll, i gave her pocket money frienday she played up then cos she wanted more it was 5 pounds and she wanted 10 so she played up in town she also had 3 pounds on sweets and money yesterday now she wants alot today, i said she could have 2 pounds but i cannot afford much more. My friend offered he ra pound and my grandson she said no she did not want it, makes me angry the way she talks to peopoe. She looked a bit dejected. I am not giving her no money now she is nine she used to be a nice girl. she has been chucking stones at the front door, she,s been going on all morining making me miserable. I went to hit her i had enough and she ran off out and chucked bricks at the door, she is see a counciller soon but she is is so stubborn i doupt if she will attend. I hvae had enough of her, why should i have to put up with all of this

im 17 in a very loving and happy realtionship and due to be married to my 22yr old bf the thing is i feel i am ready for a baby but my bf isnt so keen but yet he talks about having children and he brings it up and also he looks at loads of things to do with babys and he is a total natural with my baby brother.he does say that he does want children with me. i think maybe he is saying no about it at the moment because he is scared about it.

Has anyone out there decided to be a single parent by choice? What is the best method, artificial insamination? Would like to hear from successful experiences where woman have been able to afford to stay home with their child and afford to bring up their child with basica needs and some luxuries. What about moral issues?

Yesterday I had a big bowl of cereal with milk. Had a "bad stomach" all day, general diarrhea- but no vomiting or fever. No blood. Today my husband noticed that the milk smelled bad. I seem to be getting rid of it all on my own without fever or big stomach pains. Would you call the doctor? (It's Christmas-no one is working!) Are there other things I should be worried about or looking for? I am 21 weeks pregnant. Thanks!

I am 19 years old and I want to go on birth control for a number of reasons. Lighter periods, fewer cramps, mainly. I don't have sex yet so please don't judge. But I think I'm too old to go to a planned parenthood and because I'm legally an adult, I don't think I'm under my parent's health insurance anymore. Even if I still am under their insurance, would they be able to find out if I were to set up an appointment by myself?

Short version... His friend who he likes to play online games with (WOW if you know of it) Has 7 year old and a 3 yr old and a 1yr old. He tells my husband the other day that he has his 7yr old on an Eight hour cleaning shift. Because She decided to go for a walk with the 3yr old and they were picked up by the police. While he was playing the online game the mom called the father who was watching the children and asked where they were he said that they were out side playing ,and she sd No! they are at the police station you need to go get them. He punishes the children for this! I think he is a shitty parent and he should be punished for not watching them better. My husband agrees with him and thinks that the child knew better and did it anyway and that the punishment is fitting. What do you think?

My five year old son followed a 9 year old down the path yesterday. The 9 year old threw a rock at the neighbors car and my son did the same. He told me about it later that day just out of the blue. He is always pretty honest. He tried to say it was an accident but when pressed he finally told the whole story, that it was with intent that they threw the rocks. There was no damage done to the vehicle but I am at a loss for what to do. Should I send him to the new neighbors and have him tell them what he did to the car? The new neighbor is someone I work with. Should I tell the neighbor myself? Should I let the other boys parents know? This is the only neighbor boy my son has to play with as we live in a rural area. Should I even let them play together anymore as this is not the first time this boy has done something that I was shocked about. He is VERY mainpulative when it come to getting my son to do something. I do not put this on the other boy though...my son should KNOW.

im curious of what have you been in this stage of pregnancy? im 38 weeks pregnany but yet not feeling anything.... :( i love to see my baby right away but i know maybe he's not ready yet to come out. what are you feeling right now at 38 weeks?
