I have heard alot of stories about women having their period but still are pregnant and I just wanted 2 know some peoples experiences with the situation. Was it a regular period, were their still pregnancy symptoms and when they test to find out. Me and my longtime bf have recently started tryin to have a baby, we've been having sex since the end of Nov. and this month my period was 3 or 4 days late , I feel nauseous, and my nipples are sore especially when the shower hits them.

I've been feeling pretty achy the last few days, in my lower back and lower abdomen and legs. It feels a little worse than I would feel like before my period would start. I don't know either if I've lost my mucus plug, I did a couple of weeks ago have more discharge than usual, just not any blood or noticeable plug looking thing? Can you loose it without noticing? Also my braxton hicks have been getting stronger, and it feels harder to breath when they happen, and a little crampy down low sometimes? This is my first pregnancy too!!! Thanks!!

How do you get your kids to sort through their old toys to make room for the new loot from Santa and the Grandparents?

I do some purging in the fall to get rid of stuff they don't play with anymore. I can usually sneak out a few things that they don't play with but I know they might try to insist on keeping for no good reason at all. But usually I like for them to eliminate some stuff again around the first of the year when I see how much they get for Christmas. How do you convince them that they need to pick some things to part with?

For example, if they have a bunch of baby dolls.....how do you get them to pick some to sell or donate? My kids seem to be turning into pack rats!

Just curious what is working for others.

My brother learns what we are saying better if we show hm sorta what we mean rather than if we say it to him. Is there any other ways to tell him what we mean?

So far he knows:

finger up to mouth: stop making noise
point to the corner: time-out
hands up as if to say raise in a court: you can get up now
shake head: no
take his hand: follow me

I had a neighbor tell me this..just wondering ya'lls thoughts....

She had a baby and 5 weeks later her and her mate had intercourse... She states that because it had been a few weeks the condom "over flowed" and now she is pregnant again...

I know condom is not 100% but this just seems a little far fetched..
What do you think?

My husband and I are ready to get pregnant and have been for a few months but everytime we get really serious talking about it he gets like scared. I know he is worried about the money part of it but I also think he is just worried about being a good father. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can calm his worries. I know he wants to have a baby he talks about it all the time. Thanks.

My 16 year old daughter is dating a boy (same age) in her school. I do not let them do anything together without an adult present. His parents think I am being too over protective, saying that their son is trust worthy. Well, so is my daughter but that doesn't mean that they can't get caught up in the moment so to speak. I was a young mother (18) and I talk to my children about waiting util they are married all the time and I do trust them I just want to make sure that they don't make the same mistakes that I did. What is yor opinion on the subject? Do you think I'm being too protective and should let her go out alone with him? (I'm still not going to , just wanted to see what others thought :)

Hi,

At my 20 week scan I was told I had a low lying posteria placenta, so I have to go for another scan around 36 weeks to see if its moved. Has anybody had this before? and what are the chances of it moving? Thanks

I am so tired of seeing women get crap here because they're thinking about having a glass of wine _once a week_. Thirty-two Americans invariably show up to say "I can't think for myself, so I don't believe you should, either. I am unaware of, or ill-able to read and understand, research. Scare tactics sure work on me. Etc."

"The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recently conducted a large study including 400,000 American women, all of whom had consumed alcohol during pregnancy. Not a single case of fetal alcohol syndrome occurred and no adverse effects on children were found when consumption was under 8.5 drinks per week.
A recent review of research studies found that fetal alcohol syndrome only occurs among alcoholics. The evidence is clear that there is no apparent risk to a child when the pregnant woman consumes no more than one drink per day."

So why is it still claimed otherwise, here?
