Whenever I impose a rule upon children, I find myself unable to sound stern or angry. I'm struggling to be stern because they look too darn cute! How can I get angry at something that cute?! Does this mean that the children will not learn that what they are doing is bad? Is this a problem?

I was wondering if you could tell me what spotting looks like. I think I may be but it is really light. I was wondering is it a heavy looking blood spot or a light one?

I am curious if anyone has used the XL Bjorn and what size you were and how well it worked for your size. My husband is a bigger guy, also my mother (who does her day care in our home) is larger and I was thinking of buying this for them. Thanks for any help!!

I am pregnant and due in March, but am conflicting on where to deliver. My midwife delivers at a hospital about 45 mins from our house. I had my first child there with her and loved the experience of a midwife. However, my husband has changed jobs since our last baby and now works at the hospital in our town in the office part of the hospital. The dilema is this: Our insurance will pay 90% + $250 per person per year for any work we have done at the hospital in town. Otherwise they only cover 70%. But they don't have midwife at the hospital in town.
I am torn between the idea of where to deliver because of cost and beause of experience. I like the midwife experience and past experience, BUT cost wise and transportation wise, the local hospital is a better choice. Obviously I am the only one to decide, but any body have any thoughts or ideas from their own experiences with different doctors/ hospitals? I will have my husband and my sister there to help with labor coaching.

My friend is married to a man who has two daughters. Their mother died and my friend has been raising them since they were 2 and 5 years old.

She recently had her first biological child, even though her husband told her before they married that he didn't want any more children. She said she had to have one of her own.

Her baby is 8 months old and her other two children are 6 and 9. She constantly talks about her baby and always says, "I have to go pick up my baby, she is so cute, I love her so much!" and doesn't mention the other kids.

She just seems to go on and on about her baby and how perfect she is, but now the older kids are less talked about if at all.

Is this normal? Does my friend favor her biological child more? Or do moms typically fuss over their babies more than their older children?

My husband and I love taking walks, but since we have had my daughter (10 weeks old) we really have not gotten out much. We were wondering if its okay to take her out in the cold this winter (she would be bundled of course). Is she too young to be out in the cold weather? What is too cold?

I have a son who's first name is after my father-in-law. I am 8 months pregnant with a girl and I am choosing the name. My husband wants her middle name to be after my mother-in-law. I know my mom will be offended that both our children are named after his parents though she wouldnt say so. I was thinking she could have 2 middle names...after both our moms, but the names don't really flow with the 1st name I picked out. Any suggestions?

My mother in law in a monster! She's two-faced, lying, rude, mean person. She'll be rude to anyone anywhere for no apparent reason, but mostly to me. It feels it's ruining my relationship with my husband b/c I CAN"T STAND her. Really I can't stand to even be aroud her. She tells me what to do with out new baby and has even gone to the level of all out yelling at my 4 yr old b/c she idn't want to wear pj's to bed. She was actually swearing at her. Thats when I lost it and anger took total control over me and I told her exactly what I think of her...needless to say it wasen't nice. My husband has talked to her but I don't think he feels like it's a real problem he tels me tats just how she is i can't change that. I don't want my kids around her if she is going to act this way...and she smokes a lot too and I don't like that around my kids at all. Am i crazy or do i have a point what can I do my husband think I'm being vindictive b/c I don;'t like her.

I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first and already my pants are killing me! I'm bloated, kind of like I have gas (sorry) but for like a week now. Does it go away or stay that way until you start expanding, because I know it’s way too soon to start showing? I hadn’t planned on getting new pants for a long time!

He picks up items(despite being told not to) that do not belong to him and puts them in places most people would not think to look. For example he put my husband's wallet in a backpack that was not being used, nothing was missing. That is not the only item found in a strange place. He puts food that should be in the fridge in a cabinet. My daughter folds the laundry, if she leaves, (even for a moment) he will put every thing back in the basket (not carefully). We have two closets-utility and coat that he literally throws every thing in. Is this typical teenage laziness or something else. We are at our wits end, this has been going on for about a year and a half. My house is in a state of disarray because of this. We have asked him numerous times to please stop. He says he will but he doesn't. I have asked him what I can do to help him. He says he doesn't know. Thanks.

My question is...Can you tell how far along you are in a pregnancy just by the symptoms alone? I recently found out I was pregnant, and I have been having symptoms for about three weeks now. How long after conception do the symptoms start? Just curious:) Thank you!

A few nights ago me and my gf had sex but the condom slipped off right at the point of climax, and sperm accidently got inside her. But in like 2 days she has a doctors appointment to get a papsmear test, to get put of birth control. Its getting real close to the middle of her period (fertile period) and were worried about pregnancy. And we dont have any money for plan b. If pregnancy does occur 2 days before she starts taking pills, will the birth control pill kill the pregnancy?

I was supposed to get my period December 5/06 and on that day took a home pregnancy test. It was positive but to be sure I took another one about a week later and it also was positive. The last 4 nights in a row at about 7 or 8 pm I start spotting and cramping. I feel uncomfortable and restless the whole night and then during the day I am fine. I don't have a doctor yet because this city sucks so my question is if this would be serious enough to go to emergeny or wait until after holidays when I get into a regular doctor? Also throughout the night the spotting progresses from light pink to red then stops. It's really weird.
