I was wondering if you could tell me what spotting looks like. I think I may be but it is really light. I was wondering is it a heavy looking blood spot or a light one?

Spotting means bleeding occasionally. It can be heavy or light looking. If you are spotting tell your doctor.

Spotting is usually not enough blood to fill up a pad. At the rate of spotting it should take more than 2 hours to fill a regular pad. However you still should let your doctor know immediately because it could be a sign of preterm labor or something else.

Spotting is anything with blood in it that is not a full on period.
If you're filling a pad, its bleeding. If your coloring some toilet paper, or messing a panty liner its spotting.
