LOL! Quite possibly. Or maybe fibroids.
I was told the same thing at around 11 weeks and sent for an ultrasound. To my utter disbelief, I was carrying triplets!
They're 14 years old now (and extremely healthy).
Good luck!
PS: It was my second pregnancy too. I also have a 17-year old daughter. The triplets are 2 girls and a boy.

Honey, if the midwife said that your uterus seems larger than it should be, it could mean one of two things. The most common thing would simply be that you are a bit further along than you thought you were. Are your periods irregualr? Maybe for some reason that month you just happened to ovulate earlier than you usually do. Was your last period normal? Is it possible that what you thought was a period was actually light spotting and you were in fact pregnant? A mistake in timing would be the first thing that one would think of, you may be further along than you thought.
The other possibility that one always thinks of is the possibility that you might be carrying twins! That is an exciting thought and one that is possible of course. I always prayed so hard that I would have twins but it never happened for me.
The thing is that you will know for sure when you have the Ultra sound. If you are having the test on the 28th you do not have too long to wait and you will have the answer.
You can be sure when a midwife tells you that your uterus is larger than it should be she is not just making a casual remark about the size of something like your ears. An enlarged uterus has a specific meaning and is something that is very carefully evaluated.
Try not to worry, I cannot really think of anything BAD that could cause your uterus to be enlarged.
Be happy and concentrate on all the exciting things that you have to look forward to! Congratualtions.

If you have already had an ultrasound then they would have seen then if there was more than one baby. Also when they listen to the heart beat at each visit they could hear more than one heart beat. I am not sure what is going on and it may be nothing other than your baby is a little larger or further along than they originally thought but I am sure you are not having twins.

If this is baby #2 for you you may just have a large/faster growing uterus than someone with their 1st. You also could be having twins, but only the u/s will tell. last but not least you could be further along. oh yeah or you have a titled uterus which can measure off in size.
good luck and congrads

I have 3 boys and when I was pregnant with my last one my uterus was larger than normal too, but I ended up only being pregnant with one baby. My doctor told me that it was because I didn't wait very long after having my second child to become pregnant again. My second boy was only 9 months old when I found out that I was pregnant again.

You can ovulate at any time, throwing your dates off, even if you know your LMP.
Soe times your uterus is just larger than normal. Esepcially since this is your second.
Theres always a chance for twins, but more likely than not, your father along, or just big.

It could be twins or you could be farther along than you think. Even with the right dates you could have had a period while being pregnant. You will have to see what happens on the 28th. Good luck and congrats on the baby (babies!). :) :) :0

Not necessarily. It could be possible, but I wouldn't think too much of it right now
