when should i test to see if I'm pregnant?

Question

me and my boyfriend have had unprotected sex twice once on the 4th and the last time on the 11th i have an irregular period... i am experiencing breast tenderness slight cramping and irritability my mother has come to me and asked if i was or not you know what they say a mother always knows she said my complection has become brighter..as well as other comments that lead her to figure i was... any guesses...

i know im not about to start my period due to the fact that my symptoms are not the same

You should take a test when your period is late. You are only fertile one day out of the month. This is when an egg is coming down the uterine wall. You can count 14 days from the first day of your last period and see if your were ovulating on the days you had unprotected sex. This will give you a better idea of whether you should plan to start your period or be a mom. They now make test you can take a few days before you are supposed to start your period. Good luck

If your period is irregular, I'd wait until you're sure you've missed it (two weeks after you were supposed to start).
I also have an irregular peroid, and have experienced symptoms I thought might be pregnancy, but they were actually syptoms of PMS. Each time I went to the store to buy a test, and ended up wasting my money, because the next day I started...
Also, if you stress too much about it, it could delay your period even more.

If you think you got pregnant from having sex on the 4th or 11th, I would say it is too early to be getting any symptoms yet, especially if it was just on the 11th. You usually don't get any symptoms until about 4-5 weeks.

It really amazes me how we are in one of the most intelligent
nations in history and yet there are people having unprotected sex. The over all pattern I have seen in the last 20 years in people like this is the woman gets pregnant, the couple breaks up within 5 years, the man does not pay the child support and ends up owing $20,000 (and he is usually heavily into dope ), and the kid grows up wondering why hes not in a normal family...GOOD LUCK!!!

I would go get a home test now. You have many signs of being pregnant. I think its still to early to tell being that you had sex on the 4th and the 11. I would still take one now. If the test is negative don't worry it might be that you are to early to tell. then retest in a couple of days.

Try taking one on the 23 or 24. Use Answer. They are better. That's just a guess though. Don't know the first day of last mens. cycle(LMP) or how long cycle averages to be. Try to remember the LMP. If you are preg. the dr. will want to know. If you can't remember, no biggie. They have other ways to figure it out.
