I have a son who's first name is after my father-in-law. I am 8 months pregnant with a girl and I am choosing the name. My husband wants her middle name to be after my mother-in-law. I know my mom will be offended that both our children are named after his parents though she wouldnt say so. I was thinking she could have 2 middle names...after both our moms, but the names don't really flow with the 1st name I picked out. Any suggestions?

Could you combine their names in some way? My niece's middle name is Maren. It's a combo of both her grandma's Mary and Karen.

if your husband named the first child then it is only fair that you get to name the second. does he have a reason why they should both be named after his parents and not your own?

also, do you like the names he has chosen? if they don't flow well then don't go with it.

tell us the names and maybe we can help you come up with a good combination.

take care! SD

It would be helpful if we had the first name. I would name her after my mom, after all he named the boy after his dad. You can also use your fathers name, by using the feminine form.
