I've been taking 60mg of Prozac daily since my 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. My son is now a month old and I'm breastfeeding him. The info I found, listed below, scares me now that the Prozac may harm my son. Does anyone know how worried I should be about this?

Per Dr. Hale, Prozac is the only drug "cleared by the FDA" for use during pregnancy. A mother on Prozac during pregnancy may wish to change drugs before birth or immediately after, or titrate the dose down in the last trimester since the existing blood plasma level in the newborn fetus plus the drug transfer through milk may lead to toxicity. Its effects on the breastfed infant have been reported in infants 2 months old or less.

makes good money and can actually support "the family" and you could be a stay at home mom but the guy you were with constantly got on your nerves and was a narcissist to the max...or would rather raise your child alone, collect child support and be free of a man?

My daughter is only 7 and has a problem lying.It's always about stupid things too that she probably wouldn't of got in trouble for anyway.I've tried grounding her from tv,toys,everything.I've tried spanking her,putting her in the corner for as much as 2 hours.None of these things phase her because she is so stubborn.She is usually one of the best behaved kids I know,not saying that only because she's my daughter but she's kind,helps out a lot,other than lying,doesn't really do anything bad.Any suggestions?

My daughter & her boyfriend have a 7 month old baby. The boyfriend has a problem with drugs. This is a fact. My daughter has done them; she maintains she's drug free now. She has been acting suspiciously. Both love their baby and are TRYING to take care of her. But in my honest opinion they are doing a fairly poor job of it. What's more, there are some instances where I believe their behaviors could be endangering my grandbaby's health & safety. I know the decision to call for outside help is mine. But my question is---Is it wrong for me to do so? Will I be betraying my daughter and her trust? Or will I be making a bigger mistake by not doing something? At one point she was in counseling and she's quit that. I seriously need some feedback from other parents.... and even children, I guess. I don't want to hurt my kid..... But even more...I also don't want to see anything bad happen to my granddaughter. They were living with me up to 2 days ago and I had to throw them out.

My husband and I are having a real hard time on deciding what to name our unborn son. He wants to name him Shawn. I want to name him Jaden. I've proposed Jaden Shawn to him, but he wants it to be Shawn Jaden if anything else. The reason he wants Shawn as the name is because one of his bestfriends passed away this past April to a car accident and that was his name. I never knew the guy. Only met him once. It's like I am being forced to name my son a name I don't even like. I don't like the name Shawn. (no offense to anyone who's name is shawn) This is my son too, and I don't know about having another anytime soon. He said if his friend never passed away, he wouldn't even have considered naming our son that. Not only that, our relationship is on a rocky road. My mom said to respect my husband's wishes I should name his Shawn Jaden.. and then just call him Jaden. But I don't like Shawn. What about my wishes? Eh.. Does somebody have any good advice. Some I'd like to hear?

i had sex the day after my period ended. No condom, he pulled out weve been doing it for a while. that was about two weeks ago. lately stuff i eat doesnt taste right i take 1 or 2 bites then toss it! also i've been have slight tummy pains just under my belly button. and i went i burp i feel like im trying to puke, thats been happening alot. my periods due in about a week or so still so i think i might be freakin out over nothing, wat you think am i experiencing early signs of pregnancy or somethin? oh and does have sex right after you period ends up your chances for getting pregnant?

How do i ask my husband to change this cycle withouth hurting him. I mean i always wanted these two names for my boy but since who knows when his family named the first son of a son the same name of his father and i dont really like that, how do i make him change his mind? Since I had my baby, my hand is really sore. I have little strength and it hurts to apply pressure in my pointer finger knuckle (turning torque pressure). I can't open a bottle of pop- it hurts so bad. Is this normal after having a baby? Has anyone else experienced this?

I ask because with my daugter I was in pain and sleepy and they were very pushy about letting me recover and giving her a bottle. I did end up breastfeeding in the hospital.. but I don't want that with this one. I want to breastfeed right away.. no matter how tired or in pain I am.

Also, how long afterb birth till he is hungry... can he wait until the placenta is out?

My 13 year old loaned a jacket to a friend last week because she didn't have a jacket & was cold (my daughter had 2 in her backpack). She finally asked for it back this past Monday & her friend told her that she thinks it's in her house somewhere. Well, here it is Wednesday night & she has gotten so many stories - it's in the wash, I think I Ieft it the P.E. locker at school, my parents have been helping me search the house be I can't find it. This girl was suppose to bring it to school tonight & didn't. On the way home my daughter called her, asked for the jacket & the girl's response was "why do you even want the stupid thing?"

I'm starting to think that this girl is either totally irresponsible & is clueless as to what she did with the jacket or she liked it so much (practically new) that she wanted to keep it.

What would you do as a parent? I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I'm just a tad bit pissed off since it's practically new!
