take him to a local park, enroll him in cub scouts, get him involved in a local sports team. just don't isolate him from social contact with other kids , even if you have to drive him miles away to get him into something. if he doesn't have social interaction with other children, boys and girls, he'll have developmental problems later.

Work with him and his friends on how to interact. For instance, play a game that requires engagement like "duck, duck, goose" and be a part of it. You will be showing your son how to interact, how fun it is to interact and be there for comfort. Use "my turn" and do your duck, duck, goose with the other child and show him how it's done and next time around make him the goose and see how he interacts. Good luck.

move, or get him involved in sports. And watch out who he hangs with outside the field and house. Once he gets despperate for friends, he will get bad friends. Just get him involved in sports.
i know hes only 6, but what he learns at a young age can be with him forever, so get him liking sports and not TV.

Take him for a walk and if you see some kids around his age playing, go over and introduce yourself and your son. My son is an only child. When he was little I would tell him to go introduce himself to other little boys. Actually, that's how I met my now husband....thru my son and his son!
