Since I had my baby, my hand is really sore. I have little strength and it hurts to apply pressure in my pointer finger knuckle (turning torque pressure). I can't open a bottle of pop- it hurts so bad. Is this normal after having a baby? Has anyone else experienced this?

How old are you? I am 24 and before my baby I was in perfect health and now I have arthritis in my hands, hips, knees and back. Doctors say even though I tried to take extra calcium my baby sucked it out of me. Now my family has a history of arthritis so they said it plays a big factor because it can show up after brith so find out from you mom and grandma or anyfamily member and then ask you doc.

Some pregnant mom's get carpel tunnel syndrome I know I did with my pregnancy's. At first I thought it was nothing but then went through exactly what you are- Just resting your arms, wrist and hands is all you can do... Check with your doctor for hand and wrist braces.
good luck and congrats on the baby

my mom also has this and even hurts when she opens a pair of chopstick, i am 19 so my mom had me for a while so i dont think its because of the baby lol at least not for her, taking calcium will REALLY help because it will strengthen your bones but make sure there is no side effects for you first.

Sounds arthritic check with ur doctor to be safe and sure. Just call and ask no need to make an appt. unless they think so. Better safe than sorry, hurry.

Ive never heard about it but put a rubber band around the lid it should give you more grip with less pressure. Good luck
