Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 December 2006

My youngest will be 2 in April and she already wants her ears pierced. I had her sister's done when she was 18 months after she kept trying to "wear," my earings. Now my baby is doing the same thing. I want to get them done because she seems to want them just like her sister did. I don't know if I should wait a little while longer or go ahead and get them done.

Say someone had sex on Febuary 14th and got pregnant. She says it is the only time she had sex in months...around what time would the woman have had the child? November 15th? I am curious. I am finding holes in ones recollection of events.

Best friend wont give me space?
I was recenlt married in October and ever since I got married my best friend has been getting bent out of shape. Things have been busy for me and my husband we are in a new house we moved in a week before we got married and we are comfortable staying home spending our nights after work together doing nothing. My best friend will call me and want me to go shopping with her. I have worked all day and don't really feel like shopping. When I tell her know she will call me the next day and ask agian. I agian will say no I like to shop on the weekends when I have the energy and the money. She gets upset with me and says we never hang out and she knew this would happen when we got married. and gets all deppressred about it. We see each other once a week and I feel that is enough. I love her to death like I said she is my best-friend but sometimes lately for the last few months she has been driving me crazy and I dont want to hurt her. She right now is single and feels that she needs me.

Do you think i am wrong for this. I know alot of my problem is I have sesonal effective disorder so I am depressed in the winter and don't feel like doing much at all. The only peron I really enjoy to do alot of things with is my husband. We have been together for 6 years married only a few months. I really don't want to be a bad friend I just can't do it.

just one more thing I would like to add I don't really think she is lonely she has several men that she is dating. That is another part of the reason I think things are kinda off between us. She plays games with these guys one week she really likes the one and then the next day she doesn't meanwhile she is still seeing the guy she has been seeing for 2 years that treats her like crap. Its just non stop drama and I am the one that always has to listen to it. I am not complaining thats what friends do but sometimes I will admit it gets to me

I'm almost four months pregnant and I have headaches almost daily. I have had migraines all my life and before I got pregnant I was on an anticonvulsant to prevent my migraines. Now I don't take them since I'm pregnant and my migraines are not contant like they used to be. But I have terrible sinus headaches almost everyday and some nights I stay awake with the most awful headaches. I usually take 2 tylenol a day and once or twice week I take a couple tylenol before bed. Is this safe for my baby? I'm not sure how much use I would be if I couldn't at least take tylenol but I don't want to ruin my baby's liver before he/she is even born! Any moms out there with experience in this area?

My 13 yo girl has breasts more developed then most girls her age. I'm a very caring mom, so I make her wear bras that give proper support and really protect her breasts. She doesn't like the bras I got her, says they are uncomfortable, suck, etc. But I'm sure they are great bras and I've been really strict on this point. She keeps complaining, but she's a wonderful girl and doesnt't rebel, though sometimes she gets somewhat mad at me. I tell her it's for her best, I worry bout her, love her so much. I treat her with much love, and this makes things easier. Once she disobeyed, but she's a so good girl that she regreted, told me and apologized. I forgave and just make her promise she'll always wear the bras I gave her.Her bras are like the one at http://www.anita.com/de/en/0,1,104,1478,39236__products-detail.htm A great bra, I wear one too, but she complains it's hot and has 4 hooks, which in my opinion is a great thing. After all, moms know best, I'm her mom and love her so much

My son is turning 3 next week and his talking isn't great. Especially compared to other kids his age. I would say that he knows about 50 words and he only uses them if we tell him to. He doesn't say things like mom give me juice. So is there anything that I can do to help him along?

My 2 year old is used to a cot at the moment but even with the matress at the lowest level setting he's now able to attempt to climb over the sides of the cot thus endangering himself.
I am thinking of taking the sides off of the cot but am unsure of how to train a little boy who's not yet talking and certainly not able to understand reasoning.
Of course, there's some security measures I need to do first like ensuring the drawers on his chest of drawers are locked, the wardrobe doors are locked and the gate is up outside his door!

Help! I'm thinking this is going to be a nightmare and I feel totally unprepared for yet more sleepless nights with a 2 year old given the freedom of his room!!

I was in labor all last night and yesterday. My contractions were pretty strong and getting stronger. When I saw my doctor yesterday he said I was 50% effaced and a little over a fingertip dialated. Yesterday about 3:30 all of a sudden my contractions just stopped and they haven't returned yet. My doctor told me to just come back home yesterday and let my labor progress a little more before I went to the hospital and now it's just stopped. Does anyone have any clue why it would just stop like that?

My son is turning 1 and I made the mistake of inviting too many friends with their kids, now I don't know how to occupy them for 1.5 hrs. The kids range from 1-8 and there will be around 9 or 10 of them. Its also at a clubhouse since I didn't have enough room at home. All I can think of is forking over money to a clown or something but I would rather not...Any ideas? Big OOPS on my part!

I am a mother or two and just found out the my sister (19yrs old) is pregnant...7 months pregnant at that. She can not afford to take care of this baby on her own. SHe only makes $230 week. Daycare in our area in approx. $195 week. She currently lives with our dad and has not told him yet in fear that he will kick her out. Which, he probably will. My husband and I talked to her last night about what her plans are and she tells us she hasnt thought about it because it just stresses her out to much. She is also a high risk pregnancy and could deliver this baby at any given moment (incompatent cervix). The doctor told her bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy but she is still working because she cant afford to stay on bed rest. We also asked her if she plans on keeping the baby (a girl by the way). She said that she would like to but that she just can afford to. The only placw where she lucks out is that I have every single piece of baby equipment that she will need. HELP

I am recently off the pill and have not had a normal period yet, but am trying to get pregnant. I have experienced light spotting intermitenly for a few days, then it stopped. It is light pink or brown in color. Do you think this is implantation bleeding or my body just getting back on track from being on the pill for so long? Any advice would be appreciated.

The other night my 13 year old and 9 year old boys decided to have a paint war in the garage. They found my husbands paint gun for spraying walls and found some old house paint. Not only did they get completely covered in paint themselves they also got a bunch of paint on one of the cars, all over my husbands tools and one of the garage walls. I caught both of them in the act and then they claimed it wasn't their fault... do they think I am stupid? I had them both strip down at the backdoor, sent the 9 year old to his room and sent the 13 year old to the bathroom. I ended up spanking the 9 year old immediately and also grounded him for 2 weeks on top of the spanking.
