Mine was but my first labour was so horrendously long that any subsequent labour would have been quicker. My first labour was over 2 days. It took over 24 hours to get to 1cm dilated once labour had started. I had contractions every couple of minutes for 48 hours. I swore I'd never do it again but three years later I had another baby. Second time I had no contractions after my waters broke but reached 4cm dilation anyway. Baby born within a few hours. What a relief.

Yes, the first stage of labour tends to be really slow in primips (women giving birth for the first time) but this is faster in subsequent deliveries.

In my experience yes. I was induced with both my boys. My first took 32 hours and my second was 35 minutes! It was a bit of a shock because I expected to be in for the long haul again. Good luck.

I was 10 3/4 hours with my first and 4 hours 40 minutes with the second both were over 8lb (one 8.6 and one 8.4 1/2 ) don't know that it is always the case every pregnancy is different.

Not always. Length of labour depends on manyfactors not just how many times youve given birth before. it should be a bit easier second time round though as you'll be less afraid and stretch easier.
