Say someone had sex on Febuary 14th and got pregnant. She says it is the only time she had sex in months...around what time would the woman have had the child? November 15th? I am curious. I am finding holes in ones recollection of events.

I understand that it is based on the menstrual cycle, but what is it based on if a woman hasn't had a period in a few months?

well lets just say that was when she ovulated...(must have been if that was the only time she had sex) so the 1st day of her last period would have been about the 1st february....baby would have been due november 8th. so it all depends if baby was late or not. hope that helps

I'm pretty sure due dates are calculated by the date of your last period, then add 40 weeks (10 months) to that date. Pregnancy is actually 10 months long, because the four weeks your body is preparing to get pregnant counts too. I think the due date would be around Dec 1.

That would be about right, but the due date is actually calculated based on the date of the last menstrual period.

The due date isn't calculated 9 months from the day of conception, it is calculated 40 weeks from the first day of the last period. This date may also get altered at a scan.

November would be considered full term. It depends on if the baby was early or late, or right on time. People dont have their babies on their due dates.

And doctors count from the last period, not the date you had sex. So it would be two weeks before the 14th that the doctors started counting, on her last period.

Those dates do match up perfectly. Sorry, but i dont think shes lying, I think you're not understanding how pregnancy dates are calculated.

You take the date of the first day of your last menstral cycle and you calculate from there. The date of conception you are already considered 2 weeks pregnant because the egg has been waiting for that moment. I would suggest looking on any baby website you can use their calculators to determine due dates.

Human pregnancy has a 270 day's period from fertilisation to delivery, and fertilisation can take place latest by 72 hours after coitus thus it comes to 14/2+ 270 day + 3day.[ it comes from 11/11 thro'14//11 in 28 day feb and 10-13/11 in 29 day feb.]

November 21 would be the due date if you used the date February 14. Ultrasound would give a more accurate due date.

October 8th (ish).

Pregnancy is 38 weeks from conception, 40 weeks from last menstrual period. However conception happens days after sex, and 38 weeks is just an average it is more like 36-40 ;)

Here is a calculator:

It really depends on her last menstrual cycle to see when she would've been due, plus you are actually pregnant for closer to 10 months full term.
