Check out the website below. It is the coolest ever.

You can check the popularity of all names in the top 1,000 since the 1880's.

Instructions:
* Click on Launch NameVoyager
* Choose boy or girl or both
* Type name next to the > cursor
* Only names that were ever in the top 1,000 will appear

It is super fun and informative. If you're looking for popular names, you can find them, or if you're looking to avoid popular names, you can do that, too. You can type just the first few letters, and all the names with those letters will appear. Check it out.

There are several other baby names sites online, too.

Good luck and congratulations! :-)

I named my twins Annika and Errika. Annika is a Scandinavian form of Anne, my mom's name (and my middle name). Errika is a strong, beautiful name of a girl I was once privilaged to know. Both girls names end in "a" just as my name does. Both girls' middle names reflect their ancestors as well. Meg: short for Great Grandma Margaret (and Grandma Millie) and a certain person we like. Jo'el: a combination of Grandma "Jo"anne and Su"el"len and also the name of another admired friend.

Sometimes people make a big deal of Annika's name because it's not as common, but it is becoming more common. Errika is not that common either, (esp. the spelling) but it is well known.

Other names I like are Isabeau & Helena (could call them Izzy and Layna) , Zoe(y) & Zina (pronounced z-eye-na), Willow & Aspen, Alexandra & Samantha (call them Alex-n-Sam), or Meg and Kate. Amelle & Amelia, Roxanne & Veronica, Sable & Sabrina, Tameeka and Tabitha, Katrina& Katiana, Rosa & Bella Names flow well if you think of the syllables. Also, they may or may not keep their last name later, so I tried to give them Middle names that could work as their last name, should they choose. I have lots more....I like names! Claire & Cassandra, Gabrielle & Danielle, Beth & Liza, Brianna & Berlin, Evie & Chloe. Just some ideas!

Well I have a little girl name Hannah so I really like that name. :) Here is a little Idea for you though that I used for her middle name. My daughter's middle name is Mae. The way I came up with it is by take the 1st name of each grandmother on my side. M stands for my grandma's name on my mom's side. A is my dad's mom's first name and E is the 1st letter of my mom's name. Mitsko, Ann, Eddie = MAE :)

Some other names I had pick out when I was pregnant with her are: Elizabeth, Emily, Katie, Jordan, Madison
