I am curious if anyone has used the XL Bjorn and what size you were and how well it worked for your size. My husband is a bigger guy, also my mother (who does her day care in our home) is larger and I was thinking of buying this for them. Thanks for any help!!

I am 6 feet 5 inches and weigh in at about 280 lbs. I would imagine the XL would be better if I had the choice, but the regular baby bjorn has not been a problem for me at all as long as the straps are adjusted all the way out. My youngest is about 17 lbs and he loves it.

You could always go for a sling like the MayaWrap or a MeiTai or (my favorite) the Ergo baby carrier. They are better for babies spines. A sling, or MeiTai with long straps will fit a big guy and the Ergo can be bought with an adapter and carries children up to 60 pounds! (not that they would need it then, but it shows how sturdy they are!-)
