Yeah, trips really seem to disrupt their little systems.

Routine is the biggest thing, can't stress that enough. Some other things that might help, though:

Babies need help with light/dark cycles. Open windows, turn on lights first thing in the morning, and darken the room down as much as you safely can for nighttime sleep.

Bathtime & massage before bed. Start the routine at the same time whether or not baby winds up going to sleep at the same time or not right now.

Rocking chair, walking with baby perhaps might be helpful. or even just gentle patting on the back.

I can comprehend the way you think i went and now have despair and no it's no giggling subject, the excellent factor you're doing is getting out and clear of baby for a whilst, all kids want events and a difference can impact them but when she is staying together with your mum once in a while she is going to get used to it and this may increasingly make matters alot simpler for you so maintain doing what you're, additionally she would possibly simply be gambling up for the reason that kids can feel at a tender age while there may be some thing flawed with you. should you quit getting out and keep at house it'll worsen, I wish you're getting support together with your despair for the reason that it sounds that you want support regardless of how tough it's to invite get it. Get out as soon as an awhile for your possess it wont make you any much less a mom. maintain chin up your doing exceptional.

when my daughter was first born we were always on the go then as my hubby went back to work more and i stayed home without the car she would not want to sleep, so when the weather permited i would take her for long stroller walks over bumpy, rough terrain. she'd be out in about 30 mins. then as she got older the same thing happened again. so i started taking her for stroller walks to the park where i let her swing and play then on the way home she's fall asleep.
good luck

So your little girl longs for travel? Try getting a crib that rocks and one of those fake aquariums that attatch to the side of the crib. That way, the baby will be soothed by the movement and music, and will be hypnotized into sleep.

ok this may sound weird but if her car seat is one of the rocking kind try putting her to sleep in it in the crib, just buckle her in like you are going for a car ride and then set it in the crib and rock it till she falls asleep, once she is good and asleep, if she will let you take her out of the car seat and lay her in the bed, you should, after a while of her waking up in the bed and not the seat be able to get her to sleep in her bed again

A nice warm bath, soft little sleepers, warm the blankets in her bed before you put her down (throw them in the dryer for a few minutes while you are dressing her for bed.)

A little snack of rice cereal mixed with warm milk will help too.

i had the same problem with my daughter after a trip to michigan. when she got home, she didnt want to sleep. she had gotten used to the movement of the car. i started rocking her to sleep before i put her to bed. the motion and comfort of me holding her, put her right to sleep every time. i also had to set a schedule for her at night time, right before bed. i would suggest, giving her a bath, wrapping her in a warm blanket, then rocking her to sleep with a bottle, or giving her a snack before the bath. that way, her tummy is nice and full, she's relaxed from her bath, and she's warm and cumfy with mommy. it worked for me, i hope this helped. good luck!

Order a Papasan swing online at Target.com. They are about $100 and it knocks them right out. Best $100 I ever spent in my life.

You may be able to find them used on eBay as well...

Routine, routine, routine. They need it. If it was disrupted get back on track. Try cutting naps short, and 15 minutes of play 15minutes before bedtime helps wear them out.
