My mom watches a little boy who I've also gotten really fond of, who is 1 1/2 years old. He's gotten into this biting phase. How do we teach him not to do that and that it hurts? What's the best approach? Just telling him not to isn't really working nor is time-out (for like 2 minutes).

Our next door neighbor and the people across the street are related. They are always having get togethers. (with even more relatives) So they have a lot of kids running back and forth across the street. I don't live on a busy street but there are always cars going way too fast down the street. Also our bedroom window faces the street and they let there kids play until it's really late. Last week my husband were trying to sleep around midnight and little kids were playing in the street. I don't know where the moms were but the dads were standing on the curb drinking. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this? Little kids playing in the street at midnight?

This is serious. I want to know if the people who support abortions, would support retroactive abortions. Lets say for instance, your child is born with one eye, should the child be put down. Or if the child isn't as good looking as you'd like? I'm not asking this for a laugh, I'm just seeing where the line is. If we do late term abortions, should we be allowed to end the life of a child who is deformed, or just not wanted after seeing the child, kind of like buyers remorse? I personally find this repugnant, but again, I just want to see where we draw the line?

I am attempting to get a job with the police department as a dispatcher, but the job has really odd hours. 6 days on, 3 days off and rotating between days (7-3) and evenings (3-11). I'll need child care for my kids, but I'm not sure what will avalible with this kind of flexibility. Any other parents with this type of problem? How did you handle it?

I drink plenty of fluids, maybe I am pregnant or what? This started happening after I had unprotected sex, even though I got checked and I am not pregnant, could this still be a possibility? Should I take pregnancy test again?

This week my girlfriend was taking her pill and as she tried to get it out of the container it broke into a few pieces. She took what she could of it, but I was wondering if this is still effective or is it considered a missed pill?

Bathtime is my sons favorite, but whenever I go to rinse his hair its all over. Is there something that you can buy to prevent his eyes from water getting to them? I have tried tilting his head back but he won't have it. He also dosen't enjoy the washcloth over the eyes technique either. Thanks ahead of time for helpful ideas

my son washes his hands before he uses the washroom and after, he goes into my room and looks in the mirror and smiles and if he thinks his teeth are dirty he brushs them sometimes 4 times a day, he will not pick up anything that belongs to my 6 month old baby, and if he touches him he has to go wash his hands .... is this normal for a 3 year old?

My daughter is 6 months 1 week old, I have been breastfeeding from the very first day, and other than a little baby food twice a day breastmilk is all she eats, no formula. Lately I've been getting extremely bad headaches, and when I take a shower, I guess from the hott water I start getting dizzy, and I feel like I'm going to vomit and pass out. Those are the exact same symptoms I was having right when I first found out I was pregnant with her. I still have not had a period since she was born. I make a little mental note and I can remember when we have intercourse so I took a pregnancy test to see if I could be pregnant, since enough time had gone by to even be possible to get a positive. So I guess what im asking is if you are pregnant but still breastfeeding, does that throw your hormones out of whack and make it possible to be pregnant but still getting a negative result?

I have an awesome 4.5 year old son from a previous relationship. My boyfriend has been around for my son since he was 2. They adore each other, and my son thinks the world of my bf, and my bf thinks of my son as his son. Now, I am pregnant with my second child (the first with my boyfriend). I am worried that my boyfriend will love the new baby more than he loves "our" son... or in a different way, or will give the baby more attention or preferential treatment... is anyone else in this situation, or have they been? I'd appreciate some advice!

my 19 month old wont drink milk at ALL.. i am a firm believer of not giving him too much sugar, and i have heard of carnation making a sugar free one, but does it have splenda in it, because thats worse then sugar.

he'll drink chocolate milk, but i dont want him to have that all the time.. i'd rather give him the sugar free carnation stuff coz its got vitamins and stuff in it.. and i dont ike ovaltine coz its got as much sugar as one can of soda.

has anyone else done this? i'm going to ask my doc the next time i go in for a checkup..

but also.. the only veggie he'll eat is peas, and even then, its only a tiny bit. how do u get urs to eat veggies?!

My 2nd child is 6 months old now, and since last night has been cranky cranky cranky. She barely slept last night, and isn't eating well (bottle). I dont feel any teeth coming in although for a few months now she loves to chew, drool and have her gums rubbed. weird thing is that her eyes are watery and now have a little bit of green stuff showing up. she felt a little warm last night, but not warm enough to harrass her with a thermometer. is she just teething? that wouldnt explain her eyes would it?
