I hae been a daycare provider for over 5 years and I have kept the same rate for all my children most if not all of the children I have in my care have been coming since they were only a few months old and are now preschool age. I don't want to have to raise my rates but I need to so I have been thinking of going about it in a different way. I was thinking insteed of raising them I would have them pay a flat rate every week even if there day falls on a holiday and I am closed. Right now when we are closed for holidays I lose alot of money what do you think I should do?

I have had two before... either that or I had miscarriages. I would test positive and then a day or two later I would start my period. I just want to see how common this is.

My son has the stomach flue.Yesterday when he threw up on him self I pit him in the bath to wash him off.when I got him out I noticed small white welts all over him, with in an hour he was lobster red from head to toe and very ichy.I took him to the Dr and he said was an allergic reaction. The thing is I have no Idea what to. He had not eaten anything different ,in fact he had not eaten much at all due to the flue.I was not giving him madication as the vomiting was not that bad. I have not changed anthing in my house such as shampoo or soap, cleaning products, the lotion that I used was the same as always and the pets we have we have had since he was a baby. Any ideas as to what could have caused such a savere reaction. Has anyone had this happen?

Hello. About 15 days ago, as I was driving home from work I began to get very naseus. For the following 10 days the nasuea became much worse (So bad some days that I had to force myself to eat anything), was accompanied by horrible cramps that resembled the ones I get right before my period, an increase in headaches, lower back pain, a little pain in my breasts, and constipation. All of these symptoms lasted until a couple of days ago. For the past 2 days I have been feeling considerably better with only a little naseua, craping and headaches.
My question is, if I really am pregnant, would these signs begin to lessen a bit as time went on. I am still waiting to take a home pregnancy test and will not be able to do so for about another week. (I have a very long cycle). I would only be about 3 weeks past conception if I am pregnant. What do you think? Is it possible that I am in fact pregnant, or do you think it was just a fluke that I had all of these symptons? Thanks!!

Ok, I stated I am NOT concerned with weight gain... and that I was CURIOUS if you start gaining from pre-preggo weight or after you lost... If I were concerned about anything I would ask my doctor, not you for sure. I don't care one bit how much I gain, as long as the baby and I stay healthy as we have. Thanks for your rudeness. =D

I was wondering how many women had their ultrasound and tried to find out the gender of the baby, but werent able to because the baby wasnt in a good position...

How many were told that it was a boy, and it ended up being a girl (or opposite).

Thank you!

I am 21 weeks pregnant.

I was 128 pounds pre-preggo weight.

I lost 8 pounds to 120 pounds.

I am now 131 pounds.

Do I say I gained 3 pounds from 128-131 or 11 pounds from 120-131?

I keep getting mixed answers from people on thoughts on this. lol. THANKS!

I am 19 years old and recently found out I am pregnant. I am single at the time, but I know the father is my ex-boyfriend. He is 21, and we only dated a few weeks and broke up because I could not trust him. When I told him about our baby he claimed to be supportive and "wants to be there, but not have to pay child support". I dont feel like I can take his word for it, but because I dont know him that well cant be for sure. I just want to know how much of a part of my childs life do I have to allow him to be? I dont trust him at all, and he is currently dating my now ex-best-friend, so I obviously dont want anything to do with him. i know its not going to be easy for me to do this alone, but I dont want him to influence my child with his loose morals and lies.

I didn't mean that she ate snacks throughout the day, I meant that the food I sit down in front of her, she eats it throughout the day. Maybe I should have made that more clearer.

My daughter's pre-school teacher called her a "space cadet" when talking about how she is a bit naive. She said it to me, in front of my daughter. I am irate, but a few folks think I could be over reacting. What is your opinion - as a parent, or as an educator?

My daughter (just turned 4) is in junior kindergarden and her teacher has referred us to a child development center to be assessed for ADHD. She is a VERY bright little girl who has problems sitting still and taking direction. Although I have read that ADHD kids can't concentrate on tasks. My daughter can color the same picture in extreme detail for at least an hour or read a book for an hour without losing her focus. She doesn't seem like a "gifted" child but has certain quirks about her such as an unbelieveable memory. She doesn't really need very much sleep and has disrupted sleep. She is an only child and is pretty spoiled as well. Her teacher is having difficulties with getting her to pay attention in class, unable to follow directions and will just get up and walk away when something else interests her. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? Please don't make mean comments, this is my child and it would be hurtful if you made dumb comments just to get 2 points. Thank you!

Ok, so my two year old has a problem with eating when I put in front of her. We eat at the same time everyday and most of the time she will take a bite or two and then she will cry and whine and want down from her chair and want to run around and play. She usually sits there for a good 30 minutes so that I can get her to atleast eat most of it. But is my 2 year old the only one with this problem? How can I get her ( not force her ) to eat more? I don't want to shove food down her throat just to make her eat. Can she take vitamins at her age? Or what about those pediasure drinks? Help!! ( And no she dosen't starve, she does eat throughout the day, but she dosen't eat a lot when we do sit down to eat. )

Plz. Help! I'm 21 and 10 weeks pregnant. He was decided right away without even thinking about it, he wants an abortion because he says he's not mature enough, we should wait until we are ready, we both have really good jobs right now, but he is scared he might lose the chance to own his fathers business in the near future, he makes just about all of our decisions and he is a smart person! He is scared of what his parents will think! Resently he has been saying this is how its going to be or you can be a single mom! I dream of having the perfect family, I love him and dont want to leave him but everyday I wake up and want to run from the situation, always the easy thing to do but this time wherever I go the situation comes with me, I dont want to go through life thinking I made the wrong decision, I'm not a strong person, I know this will hurt me emotionally forever, he will never understand that! I just want to do the right thing! Not much time, Plz help! Thanks!!!!

I have a 2 and 3 year old that justs loves their daddy very much and that is a good thing, but I'm a stay at home mom, and I give them all my attention from morning until night. My husband works until 6 or so in the evening, but as soon as he comes home, the kids want nothing to do with me. They push me away when I try and give them hugs and kisses at night. They cry for daddy's hugs instead. This probably sounds childish, but it does hurt to know that I do so much for them all day, and the moment my husband walks in, I'm by myself. They won't even let me put their dinner plates on the table(they cry for daddy to do it). I don't know what to do....any advice is helpful!

I love to sleep on my back and I want to make sure that it is not harmful to my baby. I am almost 15 weeks, on Monday and I have no tummy yet, so I can still sleep on my tummy as well. I have a doctor appointment next Friday so I will ask then but wanted to get some answers before then. Thanks everyone.
