I have an uncommon name that is mispronounced every day...but it only makes me like my name even more. I feel as long as the name isn't some made up madness, then what's the problem with having a real unique/legit name? Trust me, the kid won't have a horrible life because of it. Even though most mispronounce my name when first seeing it, it only takes me one time to correct them from then on. If someone is too lazy to read properly that is their fault....not mines. I know a person with every name from that list (w/ the exception of Azaria and Tahirah) and they are perfectly fine with their names.Oh and I am not expecting, just wanted to know what some of you all thought about these names in particular.

i like them but when choosing a childs name remeber that the child will have to learn how to speel it some day and most kids start out spelling things the way they sound so some of those may be alittle hard to spell for her but yes i think they are all very fem. and she will be the only person in her class that has those names im sure they are all very diffrent

The A names are okay, but the others sound a bit too hard (unfeminine) to me. Statistically, the names girls are happiest with start with M or L. How about something nice, like Mariah or Leila?

hi hun i like azaria and aiyanna they stand out.
ignore those who say they dont like them. at the end of the day its up to you what your daughters called and what ever name you pick for her it will be beautiful and suit her.
dont let them tell you different. if these names are part of your culture and you dont like plain old boring names then you go girl and give your daughter the most unique name ever.
i find that girls with unique names are more popular anyways so she wont get teased or bullied hun
hope you find a name that you love hun x

I don't care for any of the names. Although I do like unusual & different names. I do know someone named Taharka & I don't know if he's had any negative responses. I named my girls Caina Elise & Brittlynn Kayde both are unusual names & I don't know of any else with those names & everyone comments on how beautiful their names are.

My name is Tahirih!!!!! See, now you know someone with that name. Google her. She was a pretty cool woman (she was a Persian feminist). I love the name I have, and I wouldn't gchange it for anything. I vote for that one.
P.S. There are many ways to spell and pronounce this name. Mine is "tuh-here-uh." I know another person with the same name, and she pronounces it "tah-her-ay." So be careful.

Heya! Love arabic soundin names!! Very exotic i think....and exotic is always nice....(here in russia im exotic coz i have an italian name! =D ) I think Nailah and Lailah(means "dark beauty"!) are VERY sweet names, but they have become quite common....and even international :) I personally like Aaliyah (Aliya), ASHA! Aisha, Jamilah (!!), Naima(h), Riha(n)na!! :) Rashida, Jamira, Jessenia, i even made one up also!! "Safina" (means a boat in arabic, but i liked the way it sounds lol, still its cute i think..) Goodluck with the baby gurl!!! :) Xx

They are all horrible, horrible names for girls.
Why saddle your girl with a name that might be neat at 2...but will suck at 40.
When the "unique name" trend stops...your girl will be stuck with a name that no one can say.
If you have to say "these are all legit" as a caveat to ask the question, then they are dumb names.

Yuck. Try to think of the kid trying to spell any of those names in kindergarten. Or better yet going through life w/ people mispronouncing the name.
