my husband and i got married in july, we are going to be new business owners sometime in the beginning of next year. none of his family live in the united states and we can't leave the country until we go through the whole process of getting his papers straight( he is from france) he thinks we should wait until he gets his papers so we can go see his family. i don't think so because they can come see us.

This is going to sound naive...but when is the proper day to use pre-seed. I have a 6 pack. Today is day 11 for me. I've also been using Answer OPK and the second line is coming in each day darker than the day before. I've tried 3 packs of pre-seed already. Once after we had sex (because it was uplanned). Two times before we had sex. We're also cutting back to once a day rather than 3 or 4 times a day. I should be ovulating very soon (within a day or two). Help explain more about the proper time to use pre-seed (during, before or after ovulation, intercourse, etc) and what it's supposed to do exactly? I know when I used it, I really like it - it feels good and makes intercourse enjoyable at least.

I am now twenty one weeks and will have to have an amnio done in about a month. Is there a higher risk when the amnio is done after the normal time frame?

It is December and time is winding down to shop. My stepdaughter is 18 and does not live with us because she moved out after we refused to accept her dropping out of high school. She will call or come around when she needs something, but other than that, she is jumping from relative to older friends. What should we get her for Christmas? My friend suggested a certificate for the cost of her taking her GED, but I want other responses. Let me say that she left her/our home because of our #1 rule (stay in school). We are good parents and we all have a good relationship, she just doesn’t want to go to school or work. We constantly tell her that she always has an open door for her return. We've offered to pay for the GED before, and college, if she wants. We also pay for other necessary items, even though she’s gone. The GED certificate is a friend's suggestion. I need more opinions on what and how much to spend at Christmas for her.

I am 32, my husband will be 30 in Feb. I have a daughter who is 14. My husband & I have been married 7 years and have no children together. He ha raised my daughter & is an amazing dad. When he was 22 he had a vasectomy because we thought we would never want another child. Well, the reversal is scheduled for next week & I am having second thoughts. I know he would like to have a baby but he is mainly doing it for me. He would prefer us being "free" in a few years but will gladly do the baby thing for me. He said he would enjoy it but he's about 50/50 on the idea. I wanted it more than anything but knowing he does not feel the same way I think we should not have the reversal. If we are both not 100% for should we do it? I know he would make a great dad, he has been for my daughter. I know I'm lucky he is happy w/ just the 2 of us, should I let the baby thing go?

Ok, so my 2 year old will be 3 in April and before she can go into Preschool, she has to be able to go to the potty by herself with no pull-ups. How did you get your young one to go to the potty? I have heard ideas of buying her panties and putting her in those and telling her that she needs to go potty and not wet the panties, but does that really work, or am I just going to have a big mess to clean up? All ideas are helpful and NO perverted or stupid ideas. Thanks.

I have quite a few friends who have had kids and most of them were told that they were going to need c-sections without proper reasoning behind it from their doctors, my one friend was only and hour or so into her labor and the doctor came in and told he she was going to need a c-section she refused and said unless there is something wrong with her baby or her that she didnt want one and low and behold on her 6th hour of active labor she was ready to push and had the baby out in like 15 minutes. but then in the case of my other friend well kind of not really a friend she is a major attention hog she has to be center of attention all the time when she seen the attention i got from family and friends after my c-section when she went into labor and was ready to push she refused to push and closed her legs and demanded a c-section and the doctor happily obliged her instead of letting her push she didnt even push once WHY ARE DOCTORS SO WILLING TO DO C-SECTIONS NOW A DAYS

I am stressed out a little and he is calm. Does do this for me?? Is he stressed a little bit on the inside?? I am 19 and recently lost my friend. She died and child birth and her b/f ditched her a week b4, so I didn't want to have a kid right now but my fiancee convinced me to keep it. We are rich(my parents and his both have a ton of money and gave us alot when they heard about the engagement and again when they heard bout the baby. We don't owe anything on our house.) I am just worried that something will go wrong.
Is he secretly scared/wondering how everything will turn out, but being strong for me??

My daughter is about 5.5 months, 24 weeks and is fed expressed breast milk and from the breast. Lately, as in the past few weeks, her intake ramped up dramatically. She used to take 5-6oz bottles of milk, 6-7 times per day. Now she is taking in 6 1/2-71/2 oz at a time, 5-6 times per day. Today she drank an 8 oz bottle, after eating 2.5 hours before. I think she's at 37 -39 oz per day of milk. Which leads me to ask, is this a sign that solids should be introduced? She doesn't have the "tongue thrust" anymore, but she cannot sit unassisted yet. I was going to wait until 6 months, but the increased milk consumption is leading me to believe that she might need a little more. Also, is her picking up a cup, and putting it to her mouth mean that I should introduce the sippy cup? (I'm a first time mom, so I don't know, and they did things differently in the 70s when I was a baby so I can't really ask my mom). Thanks.

My son is 14 months old. He has his two bottom teeth, and that's it. Two days ago his two top teeth (not the very front ones, but the ones NEXT to the two front) are starting to poke through. But there are no signs of his top front ones coming through at all. Isn't that odd?? Someone said they had to have their childs gums cut to help it along. Have you had to do this??? Is it painful for them? Oh, it makes me cringe thinking about it. He doesnt see his doctor for two weeks. Thanks for anyones help

I had to have my gallbladder removed three weeks after I had delivered my son, via c-section. Actually December 6th will make a full year since I have had my gallbladder out, Now I don't know what your symptoms were of the gallbladder being bad but mine were horrible and would take my breath away and cause constant vomiting, well I don't have the constant vomiting any longer but I do still have the pains in my chest, and they are knee buckling and take my breath away still, they don't happen as often but they do happen some weeks I don't feel anything and then some other weeks I am getting the pains more than once a day,

So my question to you who have had your gallbladder removed, is it normal to still have symptoms after a year of it being removed, I have been getting mixed answers from my doctor and the hospital where they performed the surgery.

**SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY** thanks in advance for your help~!!!!

Went to labor and delivery last tonight cause i noticed i was having contractions 5 minutes apart...although they were not painful ...just uncomfortable.....sure enough i was having them some 5 minutes apart some 3 and some only 1 minute...but they said even though they are close they are not tru labor or they would be more consistant...so they checked me and i am 60% effaced and only 1cm....however, i hear that being 60% effaced is good for a 1st time pregnancy even though i am only 1cm because the more effaced you become the quicker you dilate...soooo....just curious on what everyone thinks of all this....will i have my baby real soon...i am due in exactly one week....they also said the babies stationed at -2.....thanks...just curious
