My four year old daughter is supposed to be taking a nap. She's been laying down since one o'clock, and hasn't been to sleep yet. She just came in here and told me that the reason she can't go to sleep is because her panties are getting too small!! Have your kids ever told you anything like this? 10 points to the best one!

I need fresh disciplining ideas ... I have a 3 1/2 year-old and he's well behaved for the most part, however, when he doesn't listen to me, he *really* doesn't listen. I prefer not to spank him, and yelling is also ineffective ... time-outs don't work either. I'd appreciate input and suggestions!

Ok, theres a lot of background to my question. Here goes. On 10/29/06, my birthday, a very close friend of mine died. This was devastating to me and my family. Then three days later, my boyfriend of three years went pyschotic and slammed me into the refrigerator. I threw him out and got a protection from abuse order on him. He moved in with this guy who began threatening me because he thought I was his word not mine, "persecuting" my boyfriend. He threatened my life several times. So my four yr old son and I had to move into my sisters house (shes 8 mos pregnant, too). This guy is a total whack job but because his threats were through yahoo, the police cant prosecute him. So, off to the courthouse for another protection order. The police department has beeen unable in the last month to serve him because he wont answer his door. Also happening during this time, my gallbladder decides to malfunction so the only way I can function until surgery is heavy duty pain meds. So, about a week

I had sex with my fiance when i was ovulating and now i am in a state of nausea i have been for like 4 days now. My last period was November 9,2006. I am not late yet i suspect i may be pregnant i just want another opinion. I also am having cramps like i have never had before my cramps are usually very mild but now i don't have cramps but when i move a certain way it feels like a knife in the side am i worrying to much or is this a genuine concern

Hello, me and my girlfriend have just started to have sex. we dont want to have a family yet. and she has started to take the pill. but she started 5 days after the "day" she was supossed to start. my question is, even if she has been taking them regulary are we in risk of pregnancy? do they only work if taken from the first day of her period? or are we on a safe path?

For the last couple of nights my poor little guy has been coughing almost incontrollalbly. During the day he is fine, no runny nose or fever or even coughs but when he sleeps he will be fine for a couple of hours and then I will hear him cough a little bit and it just gets worse. I tried a humidifier and cough medicine and Little Noses it hasn't seemed to do anything. I just hold him and rock him back to sleep after he spends the better part of an hour coughing. Today he started coughing during his nap pretty hard. It is a unproductive dry cough.

he is 2 yrs old and he is attached to me like glue! i have a daughter who is 6 and she never was like he is. dont get me wrong i love him dearly but at night i want to sleep in my bed with my husban!! he starts in his crib and sometime in the night, boom! here he is when i wake up.

I miscarried on Monday and I am taking it really hard. Nothing I am doing seems to help the pain. I hate the fact that I miscarried and I am really wanting to try again, but the doctor told me to wait for three months. What happens if I get pregnant before the three months is up? Would I miscarry again? Will I able to get pregnant sooner because it took me 11 months to get pregnant with the one I miscarried with? I have also been angry, angry at myself because I feel it's my fault and I don't understand why me and my husband, why my baby? What can I do to relieve anger. Is there anyone that got pregnant soon after they miscarried and had a healthy baby? Please help and thanks a million!

my gf was kick out of her house cuz her parent found out she is 5 months pregnant, i have a small studio which only fits my twin size bed and a sofa. i barely have space to move i m always stepping on my dogs. so he has no place to stay and she s sleeping in the car
i was thinking about letting her sleep in my studio temporary but i dont want to inconvience my dogs since they sleep in the sofa
what should i do??

At the beginning i thought was because of the cold weather but the thing is that is more than a week and those points don't go away.I've tried putting lotion on her body,bathing her with aveeno but now her skin between her legs looks like blueish,should I take her to the doctor? or keep going with the lotion and wait more time?

Me and my fiance can't agree on discipline as far as spanking we agree on time outs and things like that. But when he was younger he ended up fearing his father and I wonder if there is an alternative to spanking like some way we can compromise but I've been thinking and I just can't come up with anything. Hes just afraid he'll lose his temper like his father did.
